Only perfect tabletop will do
I've given this several weeks before reviewing. First, to anyone who says it just doesn't work - take it somewhere else and try it. I did find that I couldn't get blu-ray to come on at my house but it did work elsewhere. Then I couldn't get it to charge elsewhere but it charged at home BUT IT TOOK 36 HRS! It's the stickiest, pickiest device I've ever used. Right about needing absolute flat surface. Only perfect tabletop will do; I couldn't get it to work at all on even a bedtray. Bottom line is that all 5 criteria have to be absolutely perfect for it to function and then it is fine but kiss it goodbye otherwise. The only reason I kept at it was because I was so pissed that there was no customer service contact whatsoever or return contact and I just didn't want to throw away even 9.99. The downside of generic Amazon to me. Orders lumped togethor and individual seller identity sometimes not present at all. At same time I bought the i-Blason case and I'm a lot happier with that because it lets you use tablet horizontal or vertical whereas blurez only horizontal. So good for freeing up whole tablet by giving me full keyboard but limited positioning.I forgot to note that it also came with the Caps Lock key detached and I wasn't able to glue back on. So every time I open it the key falls out.

there are better
keyboard falls asleep when not using and it pops up the on-screen keyboard even if your not in a txt area covering half the screen. Annoying. To close the on screen keyboard you have to wake up the keypad by re-positioning the screen or tapping one of the keys. One of the magnets comes out of the front of the keyboard if I flip the screen over on top of it to use just the ipad screen. Then, when you set it up again it winds up scratching the base of the keyboard. I'll probably glue it back in place. I like the back lighting of the keys, and the battery lasts a very long time. Works well when you are actually using it. Too bad for the other two issues. If I buy another one, I'm going to find one that rotates to portrait mode as well. I've found it really difficult to work with apps that are portrait only.

If I could give it ten stars I would
This is my initial review, I will update as time goes on. However, my first impression is that for ten dollars you cannot beat this deal with a stick. A few months ago, I had seen online when this was listed initially as a cheaper alternative to the ZAGG ultimate keyboard for fifty dollars. Just to be clear, my rating would have dropped to 3 stars if the cost had stayed the same. The unboxing is decent. Mine had some scuffs on the silver which is the bottom facing part of the keyboard. The manual also had a different brand on it. However, after unboxing, within seconds I had it paired and was typing. The magnet is not the strongest but again you dont need it to be. I still was able to type on my lap comfortably. And for the cost it is a small sacrifice to make. The keyboard is extremely thin. The backlit keys are awesome and all colors work and it puts my ipad air to sleep automatically when I close it! It even has a caps lock indicator. Don't think just buy!

Eh!
I just got it.The keyboard backlight supposedly has three brightness levels and Off. This worked correctly for about 30 seconds. After that, the backlight brightness key just changed the backlight color, and would not turn the backlight off; the backlight color key stopped working entirely. The landing spot for the edge of the iPad is not a physical ledge or trough, but a magnetic sticking point. The doesn't work very well if you tap the touchscreen, unless you use a very light tap. Since the iPad is a touchscreen device, it's kind of annoying for it to tip over, or get skewed off-angle, every time you tap it.The keyboard itself is OK to the feel, but not great.Overall, I'm not impressed, and I do not think it will make a very efficient tool. I will probably return it.

I like it!!!
What a great item for about $10.Initially, all I wanted was a Bluetooth keyboard to use on those infrequent occasions where I use my iPad Air for notes. When I saw this item and I figured I couldn't go wrong.Several positive reviewers have it correct, this product is a GEM with the only issue being that of viewing angle. While the angle is GOOD when seated at a desk or table; there are times adjusting it is necessary. Which is not possible... unless you use a small magnet where the base is supposed to connect to the top portion.

great for the price
great keyboard for the price, works well, good added features, easy to use. I agree it could use a slot, or a much stronger magnet to keep it in place. but perfect for flat areas

It broke rather quickly on me.....
I liked this case, however it cracked shortly after I started using it. Also, the rubber gasket on one side has peeled off. I really like this case but I had to order another one because this just started tearing up. I would still probably buyt it again because it is inexpensive. I don't regret getting it, but I would not recommend paying more then 10 bucks for it.

Better way to secure the keyboard when not in use.
Keyboard works. No way to secure the keyboard when it is not needed and the keyboard is folded to the back of the iPad. The keyboard pretty much just folds back and is very flimsy.
