The brackets are solid and screw firm against the table. When I was putting the legs on I was concerned because the set screw didn't seem like it did anything. Then I found this "" As other reviewers have noted, there is a "set screw" type mechanism that holds the leg VERY securely to the bracket. The "set screw" causes a portion of the bracket to "spread apart" thus tightening the bracket circumferentially against the leg."" You have to really crank the included wrench hard and tighten down as far as it will go and it locks up tight!

I couldn't be more disappointed. While they looked great and the leveler was attractive and easy to use...they are all wobbly within 3 days of installation. The issue is the way the leg attaches to the mounting bracket. A screw is fed through a hole in the side of the table leg, and it causes two pieces of metal inside the leg to spread out, putting tension on the outside of the leg, holding it in place. After 2 days, we noticed the tables were a little bit wobbly. We re-tightened the screws, assuming maybe there was some "settling" and didn't think it was a big deal. Now, 1 day later, they are more loose than they were after the first 2 days.

The legs themselves are high-quality tubular steel and have a smooth finish. The extendable feet also work well and are buried into my carpet in my application, so you can barely see them.The really slick item in this well-packaged kit is the bracket. It has a wide footprint for stability, an ingenious set-screw setup that allows the leg to be tightened so that it is very stable, and the leg can be inserted under an existing surface with very little clearance.I used two sets on my application and have absolutley no concerns about strength or stability.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Arrived quickly after ordering. I have a 72" desk top that I purchase years ago from Pottery Barn. It originally was to be sold with file cabinets but I didn't need those as the time. I had two choices, buy a new desk for a lot of cash or buy these and install them. I bough, installed and now I have a great desk that is stable and sharp looking.

Used them to build a table. Great quality and looks good. I actually have a set of these I used back in 1991 to build a computer desk. Those still look brand new with no sign of rust or pitting. Adjustable end caps top correct for uneven floors. I think they even are cheaper now than I paid in 1991!

I used them with a desk surface I stained and put several layers of poly on. The legs are very stable - the mounting bracked construction is the best I've seen. There are 7 screws in each bracket and the special expansion screw which tightens the leg once you put it onto the bracket. Genius!

These legs were perfect for our project. We were building our own custom desk and needed some heavy duty legs for it. The fact that these were adjustable was even more of reason to buy them.
