Great on paper, but not in practice...
I've had a number of small drones but I was hoping to get some kind of FPV unit that wasn't ridiculously expensive. I just wanted something to fly around my house and maybe some fields for fun. So I ordered this one to try out.First impressions were pretty poor. The drone felt very flimsy. I guess time would tell how durable it actually is, but it certainly didn't feel like it'd take many hits. The camera also had to be mounted and connected using some ridiculously placed ports. Also the "landing gear" had to be attached, though the screws didn't feel like they even caught anything. Oh, and that neat case it comes in...it can only be re-packaged after you remove all that.OK, so those issues aside, how does it actually fly? Well once I got a GPS signal, I pressed the button and the drone shot off the ground. OK...good, seems to have good power. I throttle up and gain some altitude, it climing without an issues at all. I then try to rotate it around...is it turning? I press the speed button a few times to confirm... Yes... The yaw is ridiculously slow. Any little breeze pretty much prevents it from rotating too. I was also experiencing terrible drifting. Now there was a very light breeze today and it did tell me I had a weak GPS signal, so that might be unrelated. So flight isn't so good...how about the camera? Eh, it is about what I expected. Low quality, but still an OK picture. But wait... what about this motorized gimble? Oh it works when it feels like it. Mid flight it stopped working. I landed, power-cycled everything and trie again. It worked for a few minutes then stopped mid-flight once again. With all said and done, there's almost nothing redeeming about this quad. I will have to give some points to the software. While full of "Engrish", I do like how it actually gives parameters about GPS signal, location, etc. For a cheaper drone, that is nice. And maybe in a wide open field with no wind, this might fly great. However, the drone as a whole was simply too finicky for me to recommend to anyone.

Barely works for me
Since this was on sale I bought it, but even for the price I'm not so sure it's worth even that. My main complaint is the GPS function since it seems to decide to work or not entirely by itself and, if it doesn't want to work, it won't start without you turning it off. There's also a way to lock up the controls and get it to accelerate at alarming speed by telling it to return home, tilting forward, and increasing in altitude at the same time. Nothing I did worked to recover it and I had to watch as it flew across the field, ditch, road, and straight into a (thankfully) open window. I couldn't reproduce the error so, again, it seems to have a mind of its own. Another problem I had with the return home function is that, for whatever moronic reason, it sends the drone soaring high before trying to maneuver its way to the start waypoint. Since I live in rural Minnesota there's always a tiny bit of breeze, but for most of us we don't always experience it because there's tall trees in the way. However, above the trees, it is definitely still there. Apparently even the most mild of air currents are enough to defeat this drone and I watched, unhappily, as it drifted away before I tried to get it to return on my own. Unfortunately by that point it had drifted into the trees and hit nearly every branch on the way down. This was enough to batter the flimsy chassis to the point where returning it is no longer an option.I'm also not entirely sure it's FCC certified since I can't find those little warnings that one would expect. What documentation is there is so sparse (at least in English) that I'm still not sure if I'm correctly performing the bizarre ritual to calibrate the compass. All in all not a very good drone.

Company sent replacement, no other issues
Update. Never got battery, however did get a replacement and tested it.Everything working as advertised.Still only 3 stars for bad quality control.Day to repack to send, as it was a gift to grandson.Battery Defective.Attempted to charge battery, so it would be charged for my grandson for Christmas.I couldn't get the drone to run, and at first thought it was an over all bad drone.I had a friend that knows about such things and he tested the battery and showed no charge.Ok, company says they will send a battery, however the remote won't come on.I'll wait and see if they can now correct this issue.I sent a message to company, and will update this review based on there response.

Want to love it, but it arrived damaged. Returned.
I will update this rating once I get more info!So I spent over $80 for a new drone, and I just now opened the box to take out the batteries and charge them. I noticed the the top of the drone is scuffed and scraped up as if it was used prior to my receiving it.I took pictures and am afraid and kinda unwilling to even fly it as I done know if it was already crashed. Hope that the sellers can confirm or deny this and put me at ease a little. Will update if they do.Update!Decided to return the drone as I also found it was missing some screws for the propeller guards. This drone does not support an SD card, in case you are looking for this function.

Worth the money
This product is well made and pretty durable, I've never flown a drone before now, but I learned to steer it and keep it in a certain height fairly fast. The 2 main things I don't like are that there is no motor shut off switch or button on the controller. Meaning, I can usually land it ok, but to stop the blades, I have to almost crash land it in the grass. Second is the camera. The description says it is 1080P, but it's not. Only 720P. It is ok for buildings or some scenes, but for details in grass and trees, it's blurry.Over all tho, it's a great durable steady drone to learn from.
