A great journal and gift
Got the journal for my wife for Mother's Day and it's exactly what she wanted. It's a perfect size and the unlined paper allows for both writings/drawings/sketches.It is of quality material and comes in a carrying drawstring bag.

Overall worth the money!
Some of the pages were kinda dirty. Some with markings I couldnt get off but mostly just with leather dust. Wasnt too annoying, but still annoying enough to knock off a star. Beyond that, pages are good stock and have a nice texture. They could be a little thicker for writing with pen (the ink bleeds to other side easily, but havent noticed bleeding onto page below). I havent noticed any graphite transfering when writing with pencils either. The craftsmanship feels good, though, and the pages feel secure. Theyre put in a little unevenly, but it adds to the charm of the notebook. The leather binding is stiff enough that it doesnt flop everywhere but soft enough that it doesnt get in the way. Ive included pictures of the pen bleeding and dirty pages for reference.

VERY NICELY DONE
I keep a journal, several in fact. I bought this one thinking if I didn't like it, I would return it. Needless to say, it's a keeper. The leather is very good although the strap is rather thin. There's plenty of pages (I am as lengthy on paper as I am in speech...not a good thing, which is why I keep a journal...you can't bore a journal) so you have ample room to tell your story. It's sturdy as well. Sturdy is good especially if it's subtle, then it becomes elegant too. And by the way, the paper is of a quality that mates well with fountain pen ink. For me, there is no sense keeping a journal if you're not doing it with a fountain pen. You may as well keep a journal on your computer...not quite the contemplative option if you know what I mean...DISTRACTIONS! Anyway, it's great value for the money. Buy one.

Beautiful journal. leather cover is so soft but still very durable, smooth pages, perfect for my sketches and notes. Tried many journals /notepads. This one is the best. Very happy!!!

Great Journal
I love to write with fountain pens, it took a bit to find the write pen/ink combination that I liked. But I love the texture/feel of the paper, it has an old time feel to it. and absolutely love to write in it. If I was writing with a quill pen I would feel like a monk back in the day when they copied important texts.
