I purchased this for my daughter who became a mother to her own child. It’s perfect

I thought this was a book of AA nursery rhymes but it’s a book of Langston Hughes poetry. It’s a great book, just not what I expected.

I'm still on the fence with this one... The thoughtfulness and illustrations are great but the direction of the story is lost or buried in constant descriptions and adjectives of the baby. Wasn't sure if it was a rhyme or song. Just my 2c...
