This is OK for certain hair (around the ears, face, behind) but they are pretty cheap and not very sharp. I got a good trim on my sheltie's ears but realize I need to spring for really thinning shears to do a good job. These work fair.

Wow I love these grooming scissors they are awesome! I used them on my cat and dog today and it so effortless this makes my job easy when grooming these guys! even while my dog move I seem to get most of her hair off using these scissors they cut with perfection her haircut was nicely done with these and I'm all about making it easier to groom my dog and my cat so far I give these scissors five star

Thinning scissors
These were very cheap poor quality. My dog had a small mat on one ear and I tried the thinning scissors on it. The blades did not cut and actually curved outwards and the handles were such flimsy plastics that they bent when trying to close the blades over the mat. I returned them because they were completely unusable. I went to my local WM and bought a pair in the ladies hair care aisle for the same price I paid for the ones I ordered and they work great.

Sister -in-law has shears like this to thin human hair
Does not work on my cats hair all. Pulls his hair when gets caught in the scissors !!!Got it to cut hair off my cats ass hairs so he can have a clean poop session!!! 8 or 9 bucks down the drain...!! Electric trimmers do not work so I bought these on-line!Going to try them on my hair.!!!! And save $12 a hair cut. Pay the shears off somehow. Sister -in-law has shears like this to thin human hair. Might work I hope>>!!
