Yikes. . That'S Lots Of Labor.Do It Yourself And Save Lots Of Money. If You Have Any Questions How To Do It Just Ask Me And I Will Walk You Through It.

Review: Great solution to plugging holes that let the mouse into our car - A mouse made it into our car. After getting rid of him, we bought this to plug the holes that let him in. Works very well. A friend saw what we did and we gave him some too.
Review: Flexible, non-corrosive filler mesh to block rodent holes - Most pest control companies -- the few who will find and fill point of entry holes -- will use steel wool to fill. However that material can rust and break down over time, especially if in a basement wall that might be exposed to moisture. Copper mesh, we read many places, was the better solution -- especially when paired with silicone spray filler. I wish it came in much smaller size options as we now have 95% of it left after filling our one varment hole. (Perhaps my found-object artist cousin can do something creative with it.) Be cautious when cutting as bits of the wire flake off and can cause splinters. Cut it over newspaper and give a good shake. Those bits can be bothersome. i vacuumed twice after use, but still found stray wire bits adhered to our socks. Ouch. We are definitely more at peace with this material stuffed into the rodent hole in our foundation wall, along with spray silicone and the re-plastering of the wall. Using cement alone to fill the hole would not have held up over time as rats can chew right through cement alone. Time will tell.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Steel wool cheaper, for holes?**
A: Regular steel wool is a waste of time and money, so I was using stainless steel until a Cook's Pest friend said that mice will actually pull SS from holes to get through using their teeth. However, copper tastes bad to them so it is an effective block if tightly emplaced. I have switched from SS to copper.

**Q: Has anyone successfully used this to block a rat? (A gray roof rat (R. rattus) appeared this week and I'm looking to evict it from my patio shed.)**
A: Sorry to say, I bought this and installed it over several openings in my house where roof rats were getting in. Lo and behold, they ate right through it, so waste of time and money for me. These rats aren't that big so it's not like a monster rat I'm dealing with here. The copper mesh was no match for their teeth, though. These guys also eat through very hard plastic with no problem.

**Q: Do you need glue or something to hold it in place? I have a gap between my foundation and siding and I'm not sure how to glue it down.**
A: Use caulk to help hold the mesh in place, lay out a thin line of caulk on either side of the hole or area you want to cover with the mesh, then press the edge of the mesh into the caulk and you've sealed your opening.

**Q: How wide is this mesh?**
A: about 5 1/2 inches but the mesh is tubular (double thickness) and works very well.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flexible, non-corrosive filler mesh to block rodent holes

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Has worked so far to keep rodents out of our space
*by I***A on August 6, 2020*

I live right next to dense woods. This year we came across a rodent or two since we had a mild winter this year. After trapping them inside I wanted a solution to keep them out of our space. There was a small gap in the foundation of the structure so I used this product to deter them from coming back in. Overall it has worked really well. It is rather thin so I just doubled up when stuffing the mesh in the gap. I then sealed it off with the foam that hardens. For what you get it is on the pricier side, but it was cheaper than the other products offered and nice to not have the rodents come back.
