Rustic Wooden Dough Bowl-Batea

Exactly what I was looking for, a very large fruit bowl. Quality is great and the price is good

I absolutely love the color and size of the bowl. I bought this for a fruit bowl and I’m in love with it!

A very lovely piece for the money. It is a good size, with a nice flat bottom on the inside, great for when you want to use pillar candles or even candles in holders, figurines, etc. The flat area is also good size, perhaps about 1 1/4" smaller (all around) than the exterior measurement. The sides are slightly more than 1" thick, with a gentle flare out from the base. Decent depth to hold things. The bottom is also very flat and the dough bowl sits evenly with no wobble. The carving is very even and smooth though it could use some fine sanding to smooth it out more. The wood fibers probably raised a little after they stained the bowl. I plan to do some finish sanding on mine. The color is an orangeish brown with a little blotchiness that is slightly darker. Since it appears to have no final finish, it could probably be re-stained to mask this or could be bleached lighter. When it is sanded down smooth, a wax finish would look nice. All in all, this is a lovely, well proportioned, well carved dough bowl with no defects and a true bargin! It came very well packaged, heavily cushioned and wrapped tightly with loads of new packing paper in a large box, correctly sized for the piece. Kudos to the seller for an excellent job for both the creation and shipping of a future heirloom.

Loved this so much! Used it for serving shrimp/crab boil at Thanksgiving (with lots of paper in between, of course) and really loved how it looked on the table. My sister liked it so much I bought her one for Christmas. Great price - if you’re looking for a dough bowl, buy this one.

Loved the bowl

Very satisfied. Requested lighter bowl/closer to golden oak instead of dark walnut as shown on Amazon. Got exactly what I was looking for. Size was 21x12 x2.5 and within range as described. Looks aged but with no cracks, knots or saw cutting flaws. Order arrived early on 1/4/21, had been given an ETA of 8th to 11th. Will buy again from this seller if I see something else. Using as a decorator piece in country setting, moving towards primitive decor.
