Kingscote Silversmiths - Princeton Flatware Chest - Mahogany - 210 Capacity

My complete 86pc set, including serving pieces, fits comfortably with room to spare. The knives on the lid do not slip or hit the pieces in the box with the lid closed. The chest is beautiful and feels strong and sturdy even when I lift it by the handles. I love, love, love this storage chest. I was worried about my serving pieces fitting in the drawer since this seemed to be the biggest complaint I read in reviews of other storage chest but the drawer has slots to hold your pieces in place and is designed so that there is no interference of the storage slots if your serving pieces might be longer than the depth of the drawer you can turn them to use the width for storage with no problem.

We are REALLY HAPPY with this purchase. A solidly built product. (Though no, it's not solid wood - it's a veneer covered hardboard.) But it's real beefy, strong and well-constructed. Dark brown stain, antique brass hardware. Brown felt liner covers everything on interior. Comes with brass plaque (which we took to local engraver at the mall.) Very handsome. Does everything we wanted it to do. Excellent packaging, too, well-protected with styrofoam and double-boxed. We liked it enough that we might buy a second one. (Alas, it is made in China.)

The box looks good but it's too big for the number of pieces you can store in an organized way inside. Very disappointing.

This chest is beautiful. Just what I thought it would be. Holds 2 sets of silver. Great price.

I did a lot of research on Silverware Boxes. This one looked as if it was of good quality. And the price was a good price compared to some of the other Brand names I was looking at. When I receive it yesterday, Monday June 9th 2014, I couldn't wait to open it up. It was a gift for my niece, who had just moved into her first apartment. Upon inspection, I did not notice any kind of dings, or dents, it was solid and heavy, which I really liked! But when I turned it over to look at the bottom of it, it was missing 2 of the tiny pads, so that when you set it on any wood counters or surfaces, it would not scratch it. So, I e-mailed the company as to what I should do, like,ship it back, or it would REALLY make me happy, if they can just send me the matching pads for the item. It would not matter to me so much, but it's the color of these pads, that I would not be able to match them in any store. Overall, I would recommend this product, I just wish, they would have Inspected this item to make sure that "ALL" of those little pads were on it, BEFORE IT WAS SHIPPED OUT! I will Update if I hear back from them.June 10th, they sent me an E-Mail within hours of me sending them an E-Mail about the pads yesterday.June 11th, They are sending me those little pads to my house. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND TAKING CARE OF THIS MATTER WITHIN 2 DAYS AFTER MY SHIPMENT! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCTS! This is a very sturdy constructed box. I have a large set of silver that has very large handles and everything fits nicely in the slots. It comes with a name plate that you stick on then screw on that could be engraved. Not sure if it's brass or just metal. Lid holds knives, top drawer holds dinner forks, salad forks, tea spoons, etc... There are some tiny side slots I guess for seafood forks, demitasse spoons or salt spoons. The bottom drawer is perfect of holding serving spoons and forks. I plan on putting the Hegarty anti tarnish strips in drawer and top. Have yet to see how it keeps the silver from tarnishing.

This item is beautiful. I bought it for my Grandson and his Bride to be. It came in a well protected box and didn't have a mark on it. The interior is covered in a material that enhances it's beauty. It also comes with a brass plate which I had engraved at the jewelers with their names. A great value for the money...I think you will like it too.

This a a very beautiful upscale chest. This chest accommodates many pieces of silver. Well worth the price. Appears expensive looking. As classy as anything you would find in Beverly Hills or otherwise. I have a gorgeous set of Grand Baroque by Wallace I have had for 20 years and is in perfect condition. I was going to sell it. I cleaned it and placed it in the box. It is beautiful. I can't part with it now.
