This works very well
This fits and locks in to my cup holder in my Kenworth truck. Works very well. Vibrates a little. I have a galaxy 9 plus. Not the smallest phone around. I also have a cover on it, but still charges through it very good. Customer service is aw-sum. I had an issue with my 1st one. They jumped right on the issue and got it satisfactorily resolved.

Finally something that works!
I absolutely love this. I always hated those air-vent or dash board or glass suction. They don't always stick well, or you are blocking the air vents, or you just don't have a proper surface on the dash board to properly place it. Then the thing most people don't notice, you need some sort of sturdy solution. You don't want to be pulling on your phone and break the air-vent or have the air suction cup pop out. Here, the cup-holder solution is genius. It starts with a very small diameter, and as you twist the base, it widens until it holds very strongly into the cup-holder. (See picture with cupholder.)Second, the rod that extends from the cupholder is very strong yet with enough force you can shape it. (I attached two pictures, one with bent to be shorter, and another extended to be tallest). This is very important, because once you have adjusted the correct position, you don't want the phone to be wobbly and vibrating while you drive. I had no such issue at all. Very stable phone.Third, yes it is fast wireless charging! (As you can see with picture of my Samsung S9). But note: It does not come with a 12V charger, it is only with a USB cable. Assumption is you have a fast usb charger port in your car. I didn't and I went and bought a $30 Qualcomm Fast Charger 12V car charger. Really, getting the fast charging feature to work needs all the components to be fast charging. The charger, the cable, and the phone holder.)Now, last, I love the ball mounted end, you can basically turn the phone holder around to be portrait or landscape view depending on your use. I use portrait for Maps and landscape for video watching while parked.)I honestly can't think about a drawback except the obvious, you will be missing one cup-holder slot.

Perfect
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very nice product. It holds my phone in place and doesn’t shake or vibrate while I’m trying to read the screen. A back button offers a quick release. The goose neck is long enough for me to adjust different height so I can see anything on the phone. I don't have to reach or move around in the seat to change anything on the phone. The flexible mount also allows different views if needed, such as when the sun hits it, reflections, etc. Charges my iPhone X very fast and no mess with a wires in my car any more. I really glad that I brought it.

Charging but not charging
I figured out how to assemble and tighten into cup holder. It seems to hold the phone securely. You just rest your phone in the bottom and squeeze the two sides together to lock it in place. To release, there is a button on the back near the bottom, push to release the sides. Unfortunately, I have one major problem with it. If I just wanted a cup holder car charger , that's what I would have ordered. But I wanted one that also was a Qi wireless charger. My phone shows that it is wirelessly charging, yet my phone lost power while it was charging in the car when I tested it out while doing errands yesterday. When I got it, I plugged it into a 4 Port USB hub that I used at home to charge other devices. So, I knew it worked, or so I thought it did. I don't know if the cable is garbage and that is the problem, or what the problem is. But until I get this sorted out, they're lucky I'm giving two out of five stars.

Loose swivel neck, unreliable charging
I've had this item for about four months now and while its performance was great at first some things have fallen by the wayside in recent weeks. The biggest problem is that there seems to be a connectivity issue in which my phone will go in and out of charging mode while it's docked and the item no longer seems capable of fast charging. I've tested my phone with other charging devices to make sure it wasn't a phone issue and the fast-charging works fine. The second issue I have is with the swivel neck that is always loose. The swivel itself positions the phone well but it never stays there because the neck isn't firmly seated in the base. I'm going to replace this with a qi charger that has a rigid neck and see if that works any better.

Overall good, but an important question about IOS 13, 7.5w charging and BPP/EPP
I've had this installed in my truck for about 5 months and generally like it. It's never failed to charge my iPhone XR. The mount fits securely in one of the center console cup holders with a minimum of tightening. My only criticism is that the post on which the charger itself sits is not rigid enough, so the phone sways a bit when mounted on it. But this is a minor issue and overall the unit is well-made.An issue you may want to consider before buying this charger is the following: In IOS 13 Apple made changes to how iPhone wireless charging works. There are two charging profiles in the Qi standard: BPP (Baseline Power Profile) and the newer EPP (Extended Power Profile). If a charging unit operates on the Baseline profile, iPhones will now wirelessly charge at a maximum of 5w, whereas, if the wireless charger follows the Extended profile, the iPhone will accept charging at 7.5w. It's the phone that controls the power level of the charging. Apple states the reason for this change is that the BPP produces variable power charging which can cause RF interference to the phone, but EPP charging doesn't have this issue. This problem is not limited to the iPhone 11 but to previous wirelessly charged models as well. So, while wireless charging units may be advertised as capable of charging iPhones at 7.5w, ultimately it's the phone that controls the power level of the charging. The bottom line is that if you have an iPhone capable of wireless charging you must use a wireless charging unit which follows the Qi Extended Power Profile (EPP) to "fast-charge" the unit at 7.5w.BTW, this is all explained much better than I can in a September 27, 2019 article at idropnews.com, and in other articles on MacRumors.com and on Forbes. So, my question for the Ruiyue folks is: with which profile does the Ruiyue unit operate, BPP or EPP? Thanks.
