Medium Rustic Travel Journal with Handmade Paper

I am retiring soon and wanted to keep a journal of my travels and adventures during this phase of life. I looked at many leather bound journal's online before settling on this one. I like it. The leather is thick and has a substantial and quality feel to it. The flap closure is nice.I only have one minor complaint. I have two fountain pens I want to use. Tried them both..... one with medium nib and the other with a fine point nib. Both tend to bleed thru so that you can only write on one side of the page. Not a complete "read it in reverse" bleeding problem, but enough to leave small dark splotches on the reverse of the page.. I move the pen quickly..... If I left the pen in one place then you would get a HUGE soaking of ink blot. Otherwise the paper has a nice feel to it. A little "rustic" which is what you want in a rustic journal.All in all I would buy another, just realize that I will be writing on only one side of the page. I am sure writing with a ball point pen of pencil would not have any issues. Not sure if a roller ball type of pen would or not.....

I am very pleased with this product. The leather is thick and smells, well, leathery. It definitely looks and feels like top notch journal. I use it to put down summaries of the books that I read.The paper is well made and awesome to write on. I am using a Montblanc Starwalker rollerball and it doesn't bleed to the other side of the paper.I bought two just to try it, then I bought four more - it's that good. You won't regret buying this product - it is very well made.

This is a beautiful product.The outer leather cover is of a very nice quality and does not feel like it will be damaged by everyday use. The leather strand closure is a nice length and the overall design feels very old world.Inside, the cover page and handmade paper sheets are just awesome. They feel nice and I have had no trouble writing on them with a variety of pens.If you are looking for a journal with a touch of the past that will make a great travel companion and keepsake, look no further then Rogue Journals.

I bought this journal as a present to my Dad for his birthday - he's quite into history and really likes rustic-looking products and stationary.This journal was relatively cute - but very cheap-looking. I wasn't expecting a lot as the price range for this journal was quite low; but really, although my Dad was very nice about it, it's a journal that he'll never use as it looks a bit fake.Might be great for a gag gift though!

Great smell. Great feel. Great look. And, since it's made in Tennessee, it's local (to us). :)I got this one for my wife, who writes for the Huff Post sometimes. I like it so much, I'm going to get a larger one for my sketches.

Haven't written in it yet, but love it!
