We have used Samahan tea for a long time.When we first discovered it, my wife was catching the flu/cold very frequently. This helped her recover, and the cycle of constant flu/cold was broken. We now have it during the flu season to boost immunity as well as if we feel symptoms of cold/flu coming on. We take one to two sachets a day in hot water. It is nothing but 'kadha' that we all have in Indian families, just packed in convenient sachets. This was introduced to me by an Indian coworker who gave me a packet when I felt a scratchy throat coming on. I took it with about 4 oz of hot water. A few hours later I noticed my scratchy throat was gone. I took them all last winter and anytime I start feeling funny. They work. I have shared them with coworkers and they too have said they felt better after taking it. Worth the money. Has a ginger peppery flavor. Not at all unbearable. About to have one now. No flu shot and no flu or bad cold during 2016-2017 winter.

It's not easy to find GOOD pure ginger in tea bag form; it's normally mixed with other ingredients and diluted as an herbal "tea." This is pure ginger, and has a nice strong flavor. Most people comment on it's medicinal qualities, mostly for stomach ailments, but that's a very limited approach to say the least... this stuff is delicious and I drink it every day when I'm not feeling sick. My favorite way to have it is with a bag of pure black tea (1 bag of tea plus 1 bag of ginger to a large mug). I'm having a cup right now in fact.

I discovered this tea while traveling in Ireland. My sister had an asthmas attack and fortunately with the help of essential oils a hospital visit wasn't required. A couple we met in Ireland had just come back from Sri Lanka and brought this tea for her. I was also coming down with a cold. We both drank this and had immediate results. Neither of us was sick for the rest of the trip. The only thing I would caution people about is US Customs. I ordered the 100 sachet package over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived. I have been contacted by the UPS Customs folks and it has been held up there and also has to go through FDA approval. I would like to find other ways of shipping to avoid this in the future. Highly recommend.

Found this ginger tea to be beneficial in calming an upset tummy, but have read that there are other benefits associated with drinking it too. Drank it mixed with some honey...it's pleasantly good! Great packaging as well.

Just tried it for the first time. Im suffering from seasonal allergies and there are so many flu/colds going around right now i want to be prepared! I mixed it with warm milk and it was deeeelicious. Its a bit too spicey in water for my taste. I agree with some other comments about the cost being high. ....especially if you are consuming this regularly.

I did not like the taste of this tea at all.

It works!!! Gets me through any beginning symptoms of immune challenges... wipe out cold symptoms if you catch it in the beginning. Tastes like its going to save you from prolong cold & flu symptoms...
