Hawaii Medial Gumdrop Pacifier - Newborn, Natural Scent (Pink)

We live in the Seattle area and our baby was given orange Gumdrop pacifiers in the hospital when she was born. She loved them and had no interest in other pacifiers. I went to Target and Babies R Us looking for more, and thought I would just get the pink/purple package of what looked like the same Gumdrop pacifiers. Upon opening the package, I realized they are not the same! The ones from the store are smoother/shinier. The pacifiers from the hospital have a little more of a rubbery texture to them. My baby knew the difference too, and rejected the store versions. I was so thankful to find they sell the hospital versions on Amazon! We stocked up and baby is now very happy. Great quality product!

Although this is not the only one of its kind on the market, I believe it is the original so I chose it despite it not having the ability to be "prime" and avoiding shipping and handling was not an option. The product is fine, but my daughter will not take it...however we have tried 3 other kinds and she will not take them either. This pacifier is very similiar to the smoothie but instead of completely round around the baby's mouth it has a curved cut out for the nose. I guess this make a difference to my daughter at least because although she will not suck on it she tolerates it enough to chew on it for a couple of minutes unlike the others.

The item is NOT from Hawaii Medical but from JollyPop and it's NOT what is pictured.Luckily, it's the same exact thing except the color is off... clear with pink around the rim.It is BPA, Phtalate, and latex free and it's made in the US. The material is medical grade silicone. It's very soft and just like the one she got from the hospital. It almost feel like it's slightly better?It actually turned out to be my then 4 week old's favorite! She's now 10 weeks and has been using it everyday...literally!I'm going to order more and I would definitely recommend to others!!I only gave 4 stars because it's not what's pictured.

Received the Jollypop and at first was dissapointed that it was a bait and switch...but I think these are the same product. Either way my baby likes the Jollypop pacifier very much. Small enough since she has a small mouth and sensitive gag reflex. The soothies are a little bit longer and this one has a bit fatter base, which she likes.

These are completely different than the Gumdrop from First Years. Don't mistake them as the same! These are much softer and baby likes them more. Very similar to the green Soothies the hospitals give out, but these aren't circular, so they don't cover up the baby's face like a Soothie does. Very pleased.

Great item, pretty color I bought 2, I bought a camo clip to go with so it looks great with it. My Sonny takes it sometime but it's just him not the pacifier. I Like the material and that it has a hole where I can stick the clip loop in unlike the ones that come from hospital and I like how it forms around the face unlike the ones from hospital that are circular.

When our daughter was first born we used this pacifier on occasion when she was fussy (the hospital gave it to us). We got a soothie as a gift and she didn't like it at all. This is the only pacifier she would take. It fit her mouth much better than a soothie (or other pacifier) and she could easily hold it with her hand at a young age because it is lighter (than the soothie). I highly recommend it. It's easy to clean too!

My daughter was put on the soothie binky at the hospital when she was born. I had a hard time keeping up with them since you couldnt put a holder on them. I found these online and thought the idea of having a vanilla scented binky was interesting. Plus it has the same nipple shape as the soothie. Another thing that makes the gumdrop better is it's shaped like a regular binky, it's not round so it wont squish your babies nose down.And anyone interested, the vanilla scented ones arent strong enough to disrupt your baby. It's a very light pleasant scent.
