Labwork Rear Hatch Trunk Door Lock Actuator Replacement for Tiguan 2008-2017 5M0827505E 5M0827505E9B9

I have a Volkswagen Teague one and use this product to replace the original factory latch release, which broke as is obviously very common with this car. This product was a great exact replacement, dimensionally and functionally at considerably less cost the only thing difficult about the installation is having the proper tools to remove the four fasteners, which have to be taken out in order to install this there are plenty of YouTube videos out there, showing how this is done I’m not sure how long this will last but for now it’s doing great and it’s good to be able to open my rear hatch again

What a great value. Bolted right up. Electrical connector fit snugly. Truck latch was aligned correctly. Operational checks for open, closing, locking and unlocking worked as good as the OEM part while saving over $100 over the part from Volkswagen. Not sure about longevity but on that matter the more expensive Volkswagen OEM part didn't last so why pay extra. Very happy with my purchase.

This latch looked identical to the original part it replaced (2013 model year). Fit was perfect. Installation is easy if you have the right tools. Unfortunately, the latch failed less than 6 months after installation -- no unlock motor noises. Fortunately the manual release still worked. There are no VW markings, or country of origin markings on this part. The VW part I just bought from the dealer to replace this one -- at 5X the price -- was marked with VW, showed Italy as the country of origin, and has a slightly different finish on the metal bits. In the picture, this part is on the left, the new VW part is on the right.

For my 2013 Tiguan... Got this one to replace the last one that broke after just a year and a half. Not hopeful this one will last much longer (I guess you get what you pay for). We'll see... hopefully I get a new car before it breaks! 4 stars for now b/c it currently works as intended

Worked perfectly, easy to install. There's a few YouTube videos on how to replace it, I'd advise to go easy on the trim around the lock - use a big screwdriver (gently) and it does pop out eventually and cleanly. The part works 100% perfectly

Fácil de instalar, pero solo me duro 2 meses y se rompió el engrane . Tengo mis dudas respecto a la calidad o si este tipo de vehículos trae un problema con el pulso que recibe el motor y rompe los engranes
