Delphi Fuel Pump Module Assembly

OEM part at $100 less than anywhere else, love it! Ok, now for the nitty gritty. I typically replace fuel pumps on a maintenance schedule instead of waiting for them to go out, so at 10 years and 158,000 miles, it's time. You can thank GM for making about 10 different fuel tanks and pump options that you have to sort through, do not trust the Amazon parts finder, cross check the part #s with other auto parts stores sites. The one confusing part is that you will see 2 part #s that both fit, even on the parts stores sites, one for non-evaporative emissions, one if with evaporative emissions. Here's the deal, if the truck was made for use in the US, it has evaporative emmissions, so you need that pump module. I've seen several reviews on the non-evaporative pumps where people complain about having to modify things to make it work. Of course you do, you bought the wrong pump! The reason for this option is that some markets were the trucks are shipped have no evap laws, so GM makes 2 different pumps for this since one is markedly cheaper. As for replacement, it's pretty straightforward and probably one of the easier ones I've done. No issues and the truck is running great. Oh, and always buy from Amazon, not 3rd party sellers (even if they are cheaper) with this sort of thing in case their's a problem. Amazon's customer service is fantastic.

Excellent quality

I don't know how Amazon was able to sell this fuel module for more than $100 less than anybody else but they did. Even paying the overnight shipping it was worth it to save more than $100. Genuine Delphi part fit my truck with no problem and I am on the road again.
