Blocks (Slate Gray)

What a great idea! The TogetherFarm blocks are made from recycled materials and will last virtually forever- that makes me feel good about the environment. My order shipped quickly and I had my raised garden bed put together in a few minutes; no hardware or tools needed. If at some time I want to move or reconfigure the blocks it can be done easily. My vegetable garden is thriving and I love the way it looks. I have future plans for more raised planting beds- I'll definitely be ordering more TogetherFarm blocks!

I read about these in the Los Angeles Times. The photo there made them look much larger. I missed the 22" x 22" here on Amazon. That is my fault. To cover the space I want to use, I would need 10+ kits. That would be very expensive.Edit - I assembled the blocks after writing the initial review above. The blocks do not stay together very will. I was expecting them to stick together like Lego blocks. If you lift a stack of blocks by the top, the bottom blocks come loose and fall to the ground. There are holes to screw the blocks together. They are needed to make the structure sturdy.My plan now is to let my kids add these to their toy collection. I am gong to go back to my original landscaping plan of using concrete for my raised bed border.

It's a bit early for me to be able to rate the blocks' performance. What I do like about the blocks is the easy way they fit together to create different shapes -- shades of my hours as a child, playing with Lego blocks. I'm using them on a trial basis to replace one of my old raised beds that was deteriorating.The one thing I was disappointed in was how many kits it took to build the size of raised bed I wanted. It would be nice if the blocks could be made in a bigger size.

I bought mine on Kickstarter when they were first doing them. I am more than happy to have a product I can move by myself. I have entirely container gardening and was looking for something new that wasn't just buckets or very expensive potting. While I wish they were more cost effective for me, I understand this is the beginning for this company and possibly with more sales and time they can have larger packages for less expense. I have carpel tunnel and a huge variety of limitations with chronic illness. The ease of putting these together and planting was a breeze tonight! I didn't use screws either. I put it on a board the size I needed and then added soil once I was done. I could easily move the bed by lifting with the board under it. Thanks so much for another idea to be able to easily move.

Set up my new garden bed today. Took probably 15 minutes to install. These blocks are really cool and I put them right on top of a cement patio. This is much better material than wood that will rot quickly, these will last forever and can be recycled if your done with them. I love the fact that these can be easily moved to a different location.

I bought two sets for a 4'x4' bed, then two more for me and two more as a gift. They go together in a flash with a tap or three from a rubber mallet. Best to assemble on a flat surface and hand carry to the spot. The beds have held together in place without screws or bolts. The shipping box is designed to unfold and lay flat as a weed barrier. How clever is that?

We purchased these recently and can't wait to get them on the ground as a raised bed in our backyard. They are perfect for the small space and we can change the design from year to year.
