Very comprehensive
The author takes a more technical view to the subject than most. The writing can be very prescriptive but if you are a relatively experienced ferret keeper and hunter then its not difficult to put the style to one side in pursuit of the useful knowledge that also lies within. If you have not seen his earlier work then this is well worth buying. For me there is not enough new material compared to a combination of the first guide and the breeding book to give it 5 stars.

complete guide to ferrets
lt was good to read a book about ferrets that was English - most books l have read are American. The book gives a lot of info on keeping working ferrets. But l felt it fell short of explaining all that is involved in their upkeep. Regularly trimming their nails for instance. Ferrets nails grow very quickly and if not kept trimmed they can get themselves caught up in bedding etc.
