Pig Out! (All Aboard Reading)

My son loves the cards at the end, they are flash cards front with a picture and back with the word and he tries to guess what the word says! I’m so excited he loves these books and is trying to read!

This is a great picture reader. First of all, it appeals to boys. Secondly, it is interactive for the little ones. They can "read" the pictures while you read the text. Thirdly, and of great importance, is that the printed words are sight words that the children learn in Kindergarten or are easily decodable. Your beginning reader will be thrilled that he/she can read an entire book independently (and not just because it is memorized).

Cute rebus book. My 3 yr old feels very accomplished when she "reads" this book.

I love to read Picture Reader books with my 2 1/2 yr old daughter because she thinks she can read along with me (when the pictures come up in the book) and she is very proud of herself. Most of the picture reader stories are silly stories, but entertaining for the little ones.

These are the type of books I taught my kids to read from 20 years ago. They are perfect for preschoolers. I am so glad I found them.

Love the illustrations. Picture reading is good for toddlers who are just beginning to speak. Minus point is that the pages are quite thin.

児童英会話講師をしているものですが、このシリーズには巻末に２４枚のフラッシュカードが付いていて(切り取るのは少々大変ですが)リーディングの導入にかかせない！！まずフラッシュカードで単語を確認し(今回は食べ物がメインです。)、本の絵文字が出てくるところを子供たちに読んでもらう仕組みになっています。このシリーズの本を出すとみんなの集中力がぐんと上がるのが判ります。いつ絵文字の部分が出てくるかドキドキするようです。しかも英語が読めるような気がして帰るときもニコニコです。特にこの本は子供たちが好きな食べ物がたくさん出てきて(Apples,grapes,bananas,popcorn,bread,pizza,honey,cake,cookies,jamなど）、知らず知らずに数えられる名詞と数えられない名詞の学習が出来ます。お話は、豚の親子がピクニックに行こうとして大きなバスケットにそれぞれ食べたいものを入るだけ詰め込んでいきますが、重すぎて持っていけなくてさてどうしましょう・・・というものです。オトナにはすぐ落ちがわかってしまいますが、子供たちには大うけです！！。ただ単にお話としてでも２歳ぐらいから楽しめる本だと思います！超オススメです！！

食いしん坊の娘５歳のために買いました。食べ物いっぱいでてきそう。と買いました。思ったとおりで、内容も難しくなく良い。英文の中に絵があり、「What's　this?」って聞くと、「サン」「クッキーズ」とか単語の勉強にもなります。食いしん坊におすすめ

絵本だけではなく付属のカードがついているので話を読みながら　カード探しも出来てとても面白いです！
