Escape proof? I think not.
This cat literally gets out of everything. I had hope for this harness because of the velcro but she still manages. This last time pictured, I said I was making it as tight as I felt comfortable and if she still got out (had done it already once or twice before), I was returning it. She kinda backs up at the end of the leash length and as long as she can get her elbows thorough, shes gone. She could not however get the strap that was around the neck. Her mean mommy made her sit in it for a couple minutes like that. What I'm looking into now is one with smaller leg holes (without fully splurging on the Kitty Holster) so if your cat is a master escape artist in the same way, seek elsewhere for "escape proof". Quality-wise, it seems well made. The velcro is strong- although may be too noisy for some cats. It also seemed like the neck strap was a little too thick/wide as I felt like it kinda stuck into her neck, almost like a neck brace would to you and me at the top. It's not a BAD harness, but it's not escape proof as it says.

Bacon Cat approved!!!
This harness is awesomely adorable! My cat ,named Bacon, is very adventurous and loves looking out the window and pawing at the birds and squirrels. So I bought him this so he could go outside and explore without getting away. It works pretty well and Bacon loves all the outside smells and eating fallen leaves; he just refuses to move around in his harness! Granted the one I got him is a little to big, so he just sits there in the yard sleeping! 😃!

Larger cats
Our cat is easily 13+ lbs so after reading other reviews, we selected the biggest size. He generally hates vests so his opinion isn't included -- but he definitely looks like a sausage overflowing its casing! Overall the vest has great features and feels secure...he just needs to lose some lbs (not the vests problem).

Great no fuss harness! Fits bigs cats just fine!
The media could not be loaded.  Got a Large for my 10 month Maine coon cat! He loves it! Easy to put on because of the velcro and I feel like he isn’t going to slip right out.

NOT Escape Proof
The first two times I took my cat out on it, he walked just fine, pulled a little, but otherwise seemed snug in the harness. The third time I took him out, he turned backwards, pulled against the leash, and wriggled right out of it and ran off. I found him, he's okay, but it didn't seem particularly difficult for him to escape once he tried. So if you think your cat will struggle, probably don't buy this one.
