Takeout Kit, Indian Butter Masala Pantry Meal Kit - Just Add Protein, Serves 4

This recipe has a very easy to make sauce that turns out great. I was very surprised when the package came dry and not on ice. I then opened the package to find that it contained very low grade packaged chicken that did not have to be refrigerated. As soon as I opened the chicken, I got a whiff of how bad it was, and my cat started jumping up and down thinking it was his food. I drained the chicken and made the recipe thinking maybe the sauce will be strong enough to cover the horrible smell/flavor of the chicken. The sauce was delicious, but you could still taste the foulness of the chicken through the sauce.If they were to drop the price in half, and sell this package without the chicken, with instructions to add your own protein, I would definitely buy this again, but considering how bad the chicken was, this will be a hard pass for me in the future.

It's definitely convenient that all the spices are portioned out, but one can assemble the same meal for the fraction of the cost of this box. It is not worth it. And you cannot send it back. Which is understandable I suppose, but this info should have been super prominently displayed in the item description. So you get a few teaspoon of spices, nothing you couldn't pick up at your local supermarket, and a pouch of rice, plus some tomato sauce. $5.00 at the most!Edit: I raised the stars from 2 to 4 after making it. I feel it is still overpriced, but after I made it, I have to admit it was very good. I added shrimp which I bought at my local supermarket fresh. I am keeping the recipe ;)

This was a great product. Most of these kits say feeds four people and then it feeds one or one and a half but not four. So.... we made two of these at the same time and had enough to feed eight or four for two days. Yes, that’s what happened to us. Two days of some really great food. And everything was there, it was all included, spices rice chicken. It was all great!If you can’t tell I’ll attempt to be perfectly clear, the food was all of it very good.My mouth is watering just thinking about it so I gotta stop.To all to try this ... ENJOY!

I'm not going to complain about the chicken because I can incorporate my own chicken. But they do offer to buy with or without their fake meat. It says that this feeds 4 people, but I'm not sure these are adults. For the amount of money that you pay, this is worthless. Not worth it. I like the idea but don't send me something that is going to feed 2 people barely, and say 4 portions. That's called a rip off.

Made this for my parents and boyfriend and all 4 of us were stuffed! I chose the add your own protein option and the amount of chicken I thought would fill the 4 of us was perfectly proportioned to the amount of sauce and spices the kit provided. Directions were clear as day and I had no problem cooking up a masterpiece despite being extremely deficient in cooking. The thing I liked the most about this was having a pre-mixed spice blend instead of having to seek out and purchase every individual spice from the grocery store, taking time to measure everything and then having whole bottles of them in my cabinet that I will likely not touch again. I'm excited to purchase other kits because they just seem like a much more time-saving and cost effective way to enjoy tasty meals from other cultures that I would otherwise never take the time to learn. Overall great buy and experience!

This was a very tasty meal. Simple to follow directions.I would say I was a little disappointed with the delivery because the delivery date was such a wide window for a perishable product (4 days) and I never got a delivery notification from Amazon. I am not faulting this product or seller (thus still a 5 star rating) however I think it is important enough to note.

I've made a mild version of it and my family enjoyed the food very much. I adjusted the spices to taste and they love the aroma. It is very easy to cook! Highly convenient! Thumbs up!

The chicken provided was precooked and a bit strange. Comes in a sealed case. Doesn’t resemble fresh chicken in the slightest. Easy to cook and overall tasty. But not satisfied with the chicken and the quantity.
