A Father's Promise Paperback – Box set, January 1, 1987

My daughter had to read this book for school, so I decided to read it with her. What a fantastic book about God’s love and protection. I am so glad I read it.

I bought this because my son was reading it in school and he’d forget to bring his home so I wanted to be sure there was always a copy on hand. He enjoyed it and learned a lot about the Holocaust and what it took to survive that terrible time in our history

I home-school my son who is 11 and this was part of his reading curriculum for the year. From the very start I was grabbed and felt like I was in the story. I love how it is written from a Christian point of view, It was not gruesome yet was able to "get the point across". We both loved this book so much, he wanted to buy it for one of his teachers at church. He is even reading it again for the 2nd time. There are so many life lessons that are taught in this book. As an adult I would even say, this is my new all time favorite book. Many of the parts of the books,I have printed out and have placed through the house to read. I have recommenced this to my homeschooling friends and those who dont. I think it should be a required reading for all kids. I wish there were more books by Mrs. Hess!

What a fantastic book, my sixth grader was very interested in this story (and he hates reading). Great plot, vocabulary, and characters. Wonderful job of teaching biblical principals which are interwoven into the story itself!

My son ,11 yr old , was reading this book together with his classmates for an English class book report and he was so impressed with this story , that he asked me to see if I could find it for him so he could own his own copy. So glad I found it on Amazon! Was one of the last ones left! I bought it for him for Christmas and he has read through it twice so far.

Very interesting book.Um it is a very cool and adventuress book to me.I would recommend it to everyone that wants a adventure and action book

This is a great story to read with your pre-teen. It gives an example of what the time was like in a way they can understand.
