Spooky good
This version of Ras al Hanout is probably the best I've ever used. It's so good I almost begin to feel suspicious that it has some terrible secret ingredient. Whatever I put this in, automatically tastes great. I even use it in teeny tiny amounts in dishes where I would never think to put it - such small amounts that you can't even really taste it, but somehow the dish is just more delicious with a few grains of this magic potion. Beurre blanc sauce for salmon? Oh yes. So wrong, but weirdly... so right! It's a little heavier on the cumin than other Ras al Hanout blends I've used in the past, so the cooking aroma often makes guests think I'm making curry. That gave me the idea to try it out in one of my Indian dishes, and let me tell you - my curried mutton now has a marvelous new secret complexity. Not so good for people who don't like cumin. It makes the blend particularly unsuited for Persian dishes, where I am accustomed to using Ras al Hanout for adding depth and warmth. This one adds it, for sure, but the cumin ruins the authenticity of the Persian food.Absolutely great otherwise though. My Foule Mudammas has never been so on-point, and my Moroccan lentils are eliciting nearly indecent moans of pleasure. Here's a tip: sprinkle fresh parsley with rose water and use as a garnish for a bright, joyful aroma to complement this spice blend's heady warm palate.

An Essential Spice for All
Don't let the Arab name "Ras el Hanout" throw you off. This is the KING of your spice cabinet. The name means "the finest blend of spices" and that's what this is.I use it primarily for BBQ. It's an amazing flavor compounded of cardamom, turmeric, nutmeg, allspice, cumin and cinnamon and many others that adds that mysterious WOW factor. On the grill I use salt, pepper, garlic powder and RAS. People can't stop RAVING about RAS....what is that? It's great!!

Great Moroccan blend
No more spending 20 minutes pulling spices from the depths of your spice rack for Moroccan dishes. Great with Moroccan chicken couscous or some warm chickpea soup.

Delicious, as expected.
Excellent flavor and good value for this size of a bottle. I’ll be ordering again soon, at the rate I’m going through it.
