The only instructions were how to connect it to the app. And they were not 100% correct. But it worked fine once connected, and now I can control it from Alexa. It says "hold the switch for 3 sec until the lamp blinks quickly" but no amount of holding would make it blink. I ended up turning it on and off quickly with the switch and that did the trick. The app saw it right away and I was able to control it, both brightness (0 - 100%) and color temp (warm to cool in 5 steps). I enabled the Smart Life skill in Alexa app, and it works fine. I think the switch needs to be on for Alexa to control it, so I don't know how it will handle power outages. At 100% this sucker puts out some light! 4 out of 5 for lack of assembly instructions, not getting the setup enable right, and overall quality of the documentation, but it works, and the price is reasonable. I've had worse experiences with smart devices, so I'd give this a thumbs up.Revised 6/8/19: While out of town, a brief power outage took the lamp off line. When I got back, I had to reset it and pair it with the app again to get it to work. I took off a star for this failure. If it happens again, I will reduce the stars to the minimum, as losing its configuration and pair makes it pretty much useless.

Light temperature adjustable, Energize and nightlight mode to choose.4. simple and stylish designHere are the cons:1. the switch button is upside down, tried couple times to figure it out: THE SWITCH IS SUPPOSED TO BE CLOSER TO THE TOP SIDE.2. The app control has a little bit delay, but it works fine.Overall, it is a nice and smart lamp that fits your needs.Recommended to all~~

Of all the torch lights that I saw on Amazon, this had pretty much all the features I wanted on paper.-Wireless control (this was through an app which isn't ideal but whatever)-Adjustable color temperature-"Super bright" in a slim form factorSo I ignored some of the reviews that mentioned a buzzing sound...And I ignored how somewhat annoying it was to put together...Unfortunately when I used it, setting the light at anything other than 100% brightness at 100% temperature (cool) and 100% brightness at 0% temperature (orangey warm) causes the light to emit a very audible buzzing sound which would be quite annoying in my living room use case.So I will be returning for a refund unfortunately and looking for a better product.

This was very confusing on how to put together. The app is also very confusing and worst of all it makes a horrible buzzing sound if it is dimmed. We bought it for our media room so we could have a dim light during movies but it really only works on the brightest setting. We didn't feel like trying to figure out how to disassemble it to return it so we are just dealing with this lamp. Would NOT recommend though.

Love these lights!! When I first ordered this it came incomplete but the guys at iestaring made it right immediately I was shocked how fast good job guys I’m very happy with this product!!

I was really excited about this light. My family leaves lights one and I liked the idea of lights automatically coming on for the dogs if we were out past sunset. Unfortunately these do not work consistently. I’m very displeased😎

The lamp was very easy to assemble and connect to Alexa. I don't have to worry about heat as I did with my old halogen lamp.

Was super easy to set up and plug in. Very sturdy. But was hard to get it connected to wifi. Had to use the on/off via unplugging method because the power switch was just cosmetic and didn't actually work.
