Hope in a Hopeless world
Davis Bunn is a voice of hope in a world going downhill faster than you can say "ebola" and "ISIS", which are the two main stories of the day. Like his previous novel, "The Turning", Bunn offers the lifeline to those who have ears to hear - the one many of us have grabbed some time on our journey but forget when the temporal outlook is bleak. Believers bonding and supporting each other is the part of this story that resonated in my own heart, along with the resolve to fight against evil regardless of personal threat. The restoration of broken lives is an important facet which cannot be understated, causing those who crave comfort and safety at all costs to reevaluate their own priorities. It was a very fast read but worth every minute and every penny.

Very y good book about relationships!
Another good book, the story kept my interest from beginning to end. A variety of relations were involved. Could not guess until end definitely told who was going to end up together!!

Individuals make a difference
Bunn's characters always make a difference. Many time the difference comes when they put what God leads them to do above their own comfort. They overcome obstacles that are above there comfort zone. I really like how Amy was able to work through her fears to make a stand for what would help others as well as herself and little girl. The importance of friends who help Amy do the brave thing. Our world also needs more people like Lucy. Good read as always. Never a dull page. Always suspenseful.

The Church must extend hope to the 'homeless' who are still seeking.
The church takes a huge risk in helping and giving guidance to the homeless mom and her daughter. With the help of the church she gets a position at a car dealership that is a front for laundering drug money. The mom's faith and determination lead her into danger that only the faithful who depend on God could risk.

Intriguing!
Wow what a great story to read. Lots of great elements to it. Strong characters, strong storyline, many twists and turns to it. Kept me intrigued. I find myself thinking how easy it would be to become homeless because of difficult circumstances that are beyond our control. Especially if you have no family around to help in your time of need. The character of Amy showed great strength and faith and hope to come out of her dire situation. What an amazing story.

Real homelassness.
Wonderful story of faith in action. Young woman and 5 year old daughter find a real home and friends after 2 years of living in their truck. But they have to fight for it! Characters are real but have much more strength due to God in their lives. Loved watching everyone grow and mature.

Compassion and Action
This book is a very compassionate look at homelessness. It clearly presents the struggle in the church today for compassionate ministry over fear and judgment. It also confronts the problems of churches in changing neighborhoods and the need for spiritual warfare to take the lost ground. Well worth the time and money.

Intriguing
As always I was captivated by the writing of this author. Loved how he brought cultures together-- the homeless, faith, immigrants, addiction and the pain it causes in families, love, a church making a difference, law enforcement, and caring people working together. Once again his message is loud and clear: now abides faith, hope and love...the greatest of these is love.

Another winning Davis Bunn story
Reading this story is a timely reminder of the needs in our various communities and that few people are homeless by choice. The love and friendship shown by the church is so important - many are brought to Jesus Christ just because someone from the church has reached out. We experience that in our own church as we have a huge community outreach and food programme. We don't always know people's circumstances and showing love and compassion goes a long way in bringing healing as evidenced in this story. The investigative part and suspense added greatly to enjoying this boo,.
