Review: Best for anyone who insulin resistant - Every processed stevia product causes what feels like neurological side effects fir me such as balance problems, spacy feeling, and fatigue. The whole leaves do not. They do have a bitter taste but then again i eat 100% bitter chocolate so when i chew on the leaves at the same time i am eating the unsweetened chocolate i just accept the bitter along with the sweet. I must not eat any sugar and no more than 20 grams of carbs per day. It says organic so i am trusting that it is. Helps me keep my blood sugar normal. Also i put the leaves in filtered water in my mug and microwaved it for 2 min 20 secs and it tastes pretty good! Sugar is poison to me as it is for anyone who is insulin resistant. Certified for purity by Anresco Labs in San Francisco. I am trusting that they are being honest in statements. Who knows these days. I do know one cannot trust big pharma, big agra or the sugar industry. They lied for years about what caused diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Sugar causes arterial plaque not fat or cholesterol. You need clolesterol!
Review: Great for Coffee...and Mulled Wine. - UPDATE 1-23-21: THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE A DOCTORS ADVICE, JUST MY OWN OBSERVATIONS. I have Lowered my Blood sugar dramatically with this. Ok, I was doing some reading on Stevia and found some information on how it affects blood sugar and blood pressure. So, I'm wearing a "glucose monitor" right now. It monitors my glucose every 5 minutes for 10 days. It's absolutely AWESOME to watch how foods can affect your Blood sugar. So, I thought...what will Stevia do? I put 10-15 leaves in a cup of water and nuked it for 3 minutes. Strained the leaves and just drank the hot water, like tea. It was pleasantly sweet. Not too much and no bitterness/aftertaste. But what is really important is this. My Glucose monitor was reading 137 before I drank it. About an hour later, after slowing sipping it all, my glucose monitor read 98...and it stayed low for 3 hours before I had something to eat. I haven't been that low in a year. This is no joke. Do some research and you'll see the blood sugar lowering characteristic is documented. Here's just a little snippet...I don't understand any of it, but here it is...lol : Stevia is “sweet” on the palate, so the body assumes it is receiving sugar and primes itself to do so. Glucose is cleared from the bloodstream, and blood sugars drop, but no real sugar/glucose is provided to the body to compensate. When this happens, adrenaline and cortisol surge to mobilize sugar from other sources (liver, muscle glycogen, protein, or body tissue) to bring blood glucose back up. All I know is it did just that. My blood sugar dropped 30 points after drinking a cup of Stevia tea. Now, I don't know if that's a good thing or not. It's pretty dramatic and pretty fast. And the surge in "adrenaline and cortisol" might be a concern also. I've done it a few times now and the resulting lowering blood sugar is consistent. Mostly, I have a a lemon/ginger soda using stevia water as the sweetener and Perrier, cuz that's just the way I roll. lol. So, Make of it what you will...but, it's damn interesting :) UPDATE 12-18-18: I've found another great use for these. Mulled Wine. Most mulled wines want you to add a little sugar. Since I'm diabetic, that is the last thing I want to do. Stevia is probably the best sweetener for diabetics. I'm not so much a fan of the powdered Stevia taste. The leaves are much subtler and have less after taste. I put a few in the mulled win and warm it up with Anise, Cloves, Cinnamon and Stevia Leaves. I think it actually tastes better than using sugar. Everyone loves it. Big hit. END OF UPDATE I mostly use this with my ground coffee. I crush them up a little and put them at the bottom of my coffee filter then put the coffee on top and brew. Think dried tea leaves here. Gives a much more subtle sweetness to the coffee than using a powder form. It's still Stevia, but I like this better than the powders. Of course, this means the whole pot is sweetened, so I don't always do it. But, there are times :) Haven't used it any other way yet. Don't use sweeteners much, except for coffee. I do make my own chocolate and cheesecake using stevia powder, so maybe I'll try and find a way to use this. Boil 'em in water and use the sweetened water. We'll see. A nice subtle sweetener. I like it. Recommended - SF

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How is the stevia dried?**
A: I have no idea, it is just dry!

**Q: this product is from china. is this china certified organic? how strict is the chinese qualification for organic products?**
A: This Stevia is an Organic Product of China, Guizhou province. Green Green Stevia also says it certifies purity at Anresco Laboratories in San Francisco,USA. I have used this product for several months, in brewed Ice tea and I am satisfied.

**Q: How would i use this in Ice Tea ? Should i boil it in the water that i put the tea bags in when i make the tea ?**
A: Here is how I use the whole leaf. I make Iced tea in a Mr Coffee Iced Tea Pot. I put the stevia leaf in a tea bag and place that bag on top of the ice where the hot water comes into the pot. The Stevia leaves get soaked as the tea is brewing. I leave that packet of Stevia in the pitcher the until all of the tea is gone. If I made the tea in a pot or Microwave I would again put the Stevia in a tea bag or muslin bag or flow through pouch I would add it after the hot water has been poured over the tea. I have never boiled the Stevia in water. I treat it like tea. You will find that it imparts more subtle sweetness as it sits. FYI you can use these leaves as a tea.

**Q: Here is the question: how much does the bag weigh? Someone answered 1.76. But 1.76 what? - oz, lbs, liters?**
A: My bag weighs 2.6 oz. with a digital kitchen scale. The bag reads NET WT. 50 grams (1.76oz.) Hope that helps you. Luckly my bag had not been opened as of yet, so I was able to weigh it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product
*by E***A on November 15, 2018*

I Love this product. I’ve been using it for over a year. I crumble it over salads and sandwiches to replace the need for dressings that are typically high In sugar. It’s great crumbled over a salad combined with garlic olive oil. I also use it with organic sugar free mayo with lettuce & turkey roll ups. It’s great. The 100% stevia leaves have a natural sweetness . Absolutely No bitter taste. 100% organic. I’m never without it. I store it in the frig. Good shelf life. I’ve never used it in drinks, for obvious reasons, instead preferring liquid stevia.
