Although I've never had an OP/TECH piece of hardware fail, I have failed to be sure and click a connector all the way in a time or two. The redundancy allowed by having two connectors attached to the camera saved it and the lens attached to it from falling to the ground! I love the overall low price, compared to many other similar products, of the OP/TECH gear. I love the way OP/TECH products are well made and won't wear out with heavy use. The one thing I'm not thrilled about are the way the plastic quick connectors rattle and that they're not the most comfortable things to deal with when they are near your hands operating the camera's controls. But that is the price one must pay to have the flexibility of moving the camera quickly from one type of setup to another, so I live with it. One can use longer strap ends without the quick connectors near the camera end, but that reduces the flexibility of attaching the camera to different straps and harnesses in different ways.
