A different kind of Bubsy
I have to admit, I've always liked the character of Bubsy ever since my best friend in college bought the original on the SNES. Sure, the franchise has been somewhat challenged in the quality department, but I still enjoyed Claws Encounters, Fractured Furrytales and Woolies Strike Back. This new game is fun, and a lot of people are claiming it's the best Bubsy ever, but I still have some mixed feelings about it being a runner. Up until now, Bubsy was always a pretty standard platformer. I thought Woolies Strike back played very well, it just needed more variety to the levels. So I was hoping the follow-on would be a more ambitious continuation of that style game.I knew this game would be a runner going in so I kept an open mind and I am finding myself having a lot of fun playing it. Each level can be played as Bubsy, a Woolie, or some other thing that looks like a non-awesome possum. Each has their own play mechanics that make each level almost feel like three different ones. Bubsy jumps and dashes. The possum (?) jumps, double jumps and slides. That may not sound that much different than Bubsy, but it makes a surprising difference. So far I've found the possum to be the most challenging. The Woolie flies and is the only character that you can actually more forward and back rather than be locked into a set speed. She also shoots, so the game essentially turns into a 2D side scrolling shooter. Playing in Woolie mode is a total cake walk, but it adds some variety. There are also 3D tunnel bonus levels where you are an armadillo collecting gems for points. Most importantly, the amazing one liners accompanying death are still there. If you like cartoon characters and running games, this is a well made title and I'd definitely recommend it. If you are the rare person who really liked the previous 2D Bubsy's and want a new game that sticks to that formula, you need to realize that's not what you're getting here. As far as the limited edition, you get a CD with seven songs just under three minutes each. So it's short but I'm not sure how much Bubsy music a human can take it one sitting so that may be a pro or con. The booklet is nice, but honestly, there's not much to it. I was hoping rather than just character bios, they'd come up with a mini-graphic novel that would really live up to the ridiculousness of the Bubsy franchise, but I guess that was expecting too much from a series that lives off internet memes.

Horrible
I should’ve sent it back, game sticks on first level, I should’ve sent it back but it might not be the sellers problem

I could only tolerate this game for 10 minutes. See if you can beat my score!
