Potensic T25 Drone with 2K Camera for Adults, RC FPV GPS Drone with WiFi Live Video, Auto Return Home, Altitude Hold, Follow Me, Custom Flight Path, 2 Drone Batteries and Carrying Case

I was looking at some drones for aerial shots of an acreage and didn't want grainy pictures or video. I had messed with a couple 50-100$ drones to be disappointed in so many 'features' that worked enough to call them HD or hover but really worthless.This drone was the next step and seeing some of the pictures and videos from it were my deciding factor.I put 4 screenshots from video taken from the drone as well as a small clip (if it ever finishes uploading). Not sure how well it will come out after the upload, but hopefully it will help you decide if its worth it or not.Full disclosure, i haven't used the GPS flying or Follow me features. Its next on the list but my son and I ran it through the paces with just controller flying and some videos and pictures. Once we use those I'll update this review.Windy days are no joke. Seriously, if its blowing more than 8 or 10mph you may be retrieving your drone from a tree or rooftop. Very lightweight and will climb in altitude rapidly, altho I cant say if we made it to 900+ feet before we brought it back down.App works well on my andriod running OS 8.1 and wasnt too bad for installing. Some bouncing around in the menu and we had a cell phone video link going in no time. I dont' have a VR headset so will have to wait on that feature too. If the app is installed then you can record the vid/pics on your phone, but smoother on the microSD card on the drone.Which brings me to range of the controller/wifi. I don't think it is as far as it could be, but works well for shorter range flights. 200 feet maybe? Could've been the controller or drone charge impacting it but can't say for sure.Once the battery is starting to run out it will start returning to its place of origin, i.e. where ever you launched from.Batteries charge pretty quickly, and take a microUSB cord so no proprietary plugs or any of that crap.Packaging with the case was good and there is room for another battery (or 2 if your creative).Having a case makes it great for storing/traveling and keeps people from sitting on parts and loosing pieces. Or is it sitting on pieces and loosing parts?!?Anyhow, it is a very easy drone to fly and will hover when you stop flying it around. I have crashed a few and this one isn't going to break the first flight unless its too windy (try to fly it under 10mph). First time out we went through 4 batteries without crashing at all, well, the cottonwood tree doesn't count as the battery was dying....Oh yeah, use the included blade guards, they do help.My only complaint would be that the battery could be a little larger but I'm not sure how that would affect the fly time or control. 1000mah goes quick when your having fun! 6 to 7 min per battery is what we were averaging and after flying it into the cottonwood tree we brought it back when the battery meter was showing red or the lights on the drone turned red showing it was almost out of charge. FWIW, Potensic makes a T35 drone with 2500mah batteries, but I couldn't find one with a case.There is a tilt/trim motor for the camera and kind of a nice feature. We got a couple shots across the road/valley and they turned out alright.I may tape some LED lights on watch batteries and fly it into the barn so the camera can actually see something in there.All in all it's a good drone for the money and you won't be disappointed if you pick it up, just get a couple more batteries and avoid the windy days!

This is a great drone for the price. A little bit smaller and lighter weight than I expected compared to the other Potensic drone I own (a D80), but also with a lesser price and a remotely adjustable camera that I was excited to use.The drone looks great, and even considering the light weight, is solidly built. The batteries, when inserted, can power up or down the drone with the push of an integrated button which is a nice touch. After reading the instructions, initial set up was pretty easy and took only 15 mins or so and once practiced became second nature. The drone connects easily to the Potensic-G app on my Galaxy s10 and the easy to follow reminders on the app get the drone ready to fly quickly. The auto take off is a nice feature to get the drone in the air without any skill needed and once up and in headless mode is a breeze to fly. The drone is actually a bit quicker than I expected considering its size, and responds quickly and accurately to the controller.The controller has a multitude of features available at ur fingertips most notably the ability to easily snap photos or videos as well as accurately adjust the camera to a variety of angles (which makes aerial photography so much better) with your forefinger once their functions are memorized. The auto takeoff/land buttons and RTH functions are also easily accessible and conveniently placed on the controller.The drone itself connects quickly to ample satellites (usually 12+) allowing the drone to securely hold its position even on relatively windy days. Although I haven't maxed out the drones linear distance yet, I have had it beyond 200m without loss of signal strength even with some light trees in line of sight and, as on my D80, the return home function is incredible, automatically elevating the drone to a safe height and returning the drone usually within a foot or two of the take of site, significantly reducing fear of loss when the drone does manage to get out of sight.In addition to the T25s performance and features I must say that the Potensic support team is unequaled in my experience, and in my interactions with them have always been very helpful and have quickly resolved any concerns.Overall, if ur looking for an affordable, well designed and built drone with a multitude of gadgets that many of the higher priced units have dont hesitate on the T25. Potensic will be the company I look to first when I'm in the market again.
