As long as all solar panels were in full, direct sunlight it worked amazingly well. Probably shooting water 18 inches or more in thin but uniform streams.But if a cloud passes over or it's overcast the water barely trickles out the top. Slightly different but just as frustrating, if a leaf casts a shadow on one of the solar panels (even though all of the others are in full direct sun) it starts intermittently pumping water in a rapid on/off cycle.After 1 week it started doing the rapid on/off cycle even if all solar panels were in full direct sun, then 2 weeks after that it stopped altogether and no longer works at all.It was fun while it lasted, but at best it's a cheap product with poor quality control.

Very cute but disappointed in how it functions. I sent the first one back thinking it was defective. The second one behaves identically. This must be in strong direct sunlight to function. If the sun goes behind a tree or if a shadow of any kind passes over it just turns off. I was expecting solar power to happen all day long.

The pump has been working for over a month. It only sprays well in the direct sunlight. When in subdued light, water is sometimes expelled in intermittent squirts, about two inches high. More solar panels would improve the operation. But if the solar fountain pump can be used in direct sunshine, it will work well. It might be best to tie a mono filament fish line to the panels and anchor it to the bottom of the pool with a heavy sinker, because the wind blows it around the pool quite easily.

Works really well, but you do need a really large diameter birdbath or container for most all the attachments or water will overspray. At least 24” diameter. I can see it being a better pond match. The suction cups really did not work. I tied the unit to a square piece of ceramic tile. Easy fix. That was enough weight to hold it down. Nice accent piece on my deck.

Poor packaging...parts loose in a box. Instructions are gibberish....please hire an native english speaking person to re-write them.Works while the sun is directly on it. Doesn’t store any charge, so if a cloud goes by, it stops. When the sun is out, works fine.

Yes, it works. That said, only when in direct sun. It NEEDS to be in direct sunlight. Secondly, it floats around unsteady unless you stabilize it (we took rocks, building from the bottom and got it to balance finally in the center. So it’s not great for us because our fountain doesn’t get direct sun all day, but it’s ok.

Great little water fountain for my back yard bird bath. Works right out of the box if you have enough sunshine. Would buy again.

This is a nice item. But if your bird bath is shallow like mine, the fountain pump won't stay put. Seems it's always on it's side
