I bought these roses for my wife instead of real ones so they wouldn't rot. They do in fact look real and no one believes they are made out of shaved wood. They are small, but not to small.The steams look fake, but the roses themselves are nice and are painted well. Some reviewers mention seeing glue on them and on the ones I received you can see a very small amount of some glue on 2, but the rest are perfect.If you want something different from real roses these are a good choice.

Will there be no end to my picking up rose petals found all around the house. Surely they must have made them with tuna glue. The Roses are lovely but also endlessly fascinating to my cat. After all the petals are picked off he then deposits the stemmed white styrofoam core on my bed for me to admire by my feline admirer.

I had bought these this past mother's day and they arrived much quicker than expected. They came in perfect shape, with only a few glue gun strings. Reading the reviews, I came across the "they look so real, you can't tell they're fake" so many times. Yes, you can tell they're fake.They're clearly wooden roses no matter what way you look at them, however from a *good* distance you could mistake them for the real thing. They're well crafted though, so I do think they're worth buying. The roses aren't as big as I had hoped. If I buy these again in the future, I'd opt for a larger bouquet.

These were smaller than I had imagined. Maybe I didn't read it well. The size wasn't so bad as the fact that there were globs of glue on some of the sides making them look less desirable. I was able to turn each one to a side so you couldn't see the glue, but I guess my ocd just won't let it go. Especially when it was for my sweetie.

The shavings were put together using hot glue, the strands of which were covering every rose. Nothing you can't fix wit ha razorblade and your undivided attention though. Many of the petals were cracked, but that is expected when dealing with such thin shavings of wood. On another note the petals absorb perfume and cologne quite well and make good gifts after you work on them for a bit.
