Talon Locks MR60-1TB Indoor/Outdoor Biometric Padlock

I bought this lock because I needed a better security system for my son. He plays high school football and this year there was a thief in the locker room. He would stand behind the boys watch their codes and then when they left for the field he would steal all their stuff. It was unbelievable. My son lost a very special watch and we all were devastated. So I went looking for a solution. I sure found it. This Lock is amazing! It is 100% reliable and both my son and my fi ger prints can be stored. It was very easy to use. Now I made him read the instructions because its a little more than a few twist than a combination. To begin you have to push a button. Then it reads your finger. Its alot like what you have to do to lock or unlock your Apple phone. Anyway it was the best $100.00 I have ever spent. And it scores 120 on the cool scale.

The lock doesn't work at all. Changed batteries and then bought new ones. This was not the problem. Locking mechanism moves as it is supposed to when finger is run but lock doesn't open. Checked the manual for support and am directed to the Web site, but the Web site does not even exist! No problem, I'll call the support number... nope, no phone number to call, was directed to contact via Web site... hmmm. OK, Google the company name and find an office to call... again, no luck. Lots of businesses sell these locks but can't contact anyone for support. Great concept... terrible experience.

the lock works intermittently. I have to swipe my finger multiple time for it to work.

We ordered 3 to try for vending machines located inside public buildings. All work well and as advertised. The only flaw is one person occasionally has to swipe the fingerprint multiple times(5 or more). About 1 out of 5 visits to this location, the locks will not open for this individual and another service member has to be called to open the locks. This particular individual has large hands and their fingerprint is very wide. Usually, 4 of 5 visits to this location, the locks will open for this person with 1 to 3 swipes. We will be trying out programming this person's little finger into the locks for a better read. Average to small size fingerprints seem to work well with these locks. Awesome product and no extra keys to lose!

It`s good, fairly easy to program, however opening it after it`s programmed could be a bit of a problem, you would normally need to swipe the scan area at least twice before it opens, it did however open every time.

Best lock ever. Very strong and tough. If you need a lock this is the best one to get

Lock is very poorly built. Tiny screws that strip out very easily and it started rusting the first time moisture hit it. This lock only worked for two days then, it would do nothing. I had to cut it off my gate.

This lock only works half of the time and is too unreliable to ussuss.

Great lock, works as advertised but just a little bigger than I had hoped.
