A nice concert album from Jansch
This CD is quite representative of what it's been like seeing Bert Jansch perform for the past few years. The only thing you might have missed if you've seen him in concert is the double bass playing of Pete Howell and percussion by Ian Clarke, who both make nice contributions to Jansch's music here. There's a lot of recent songs included, but that's not a problem, since Jansch has been releasing some great records lately. And you still get stuff like "The Lily of the West", "She Moved Through the Fair" and, of course, "Angie".I guess this would work fine for someone who wants an introduction to Jansch's work. For those who know him already it's a nice, though hardly essential, release, or a nice souvenir for those who've seen him live.

Poorly edited, great music
I'm a very old Bert Jansch fan, going back to the Pentangle days. Yup as the other two reviews say, great music, great guitar, good songs.......but what awful editing. I don't agree you can just sit back and imagine you were there.......not when the applause is from a "clapometer" and is cut after 3 seconds after each song. Whatever was the editor thinking about? The whole point of a live recording is to be able to imagine you were there, so it's not all about the music, it is also about the editing for which this get no stars.....hence 4 only.

Stunning performance
It's too bad that Burt Jansch isn't better known in the U.S. He deserves a place in the pantheon of the greatest acoustic guitar players. He's also a fine song writer and singer. This concert recording shares several songs with another wonderful concert recording "Fresh As A Sweet Sunday Morning". Comparing the performances better highlights Jansch's depth and bredth. I can't recommend these recordings highly enough.
