The Hanna Instruments HI 2003 series combination oxidation reduction potential (ORP) electrode measures dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions to determine their contaminant levels and their ability to act as oxidizing or reducing agents, and they can be used in inline or immersion applications. The electrode has a hex-shaped body with 1/2" National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on one end for inline installation in a 1/2" standard pipe tee and 3/4" NPT threads on the other end for immersion installations in 3/4" threaded pipe. This combination electrode contains both the measuring half-cell and the reference half-cell to minimize electrostatic interference and provide consistent readings and has a double-junction reference to protect against silver wire contamination and to help prevent clogging when testing dirty water and solutions with heavy metals or organics. It has an annular polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) junction that provides a prompt response and resists clogging when testing solutions with suspended solids.
