I bought this as a gift for my mother. It arrived in a timely manner to which I have no complaint. When I had asked my mother of the velocity of air that it produced for her Florida porch, she had said that it was more than adequate. Recently, I visited her on a hot and hummid summers day. The fan was on the lowest setting and was blowing now viciously, that I feel as though "Super High Velocity" does not do it justice. That said, I do various hobbies in my garage and the North Carolina summers can be quite brutal as well. In the future I will most like purchase this floor flan for my own use.

this unit bows at a very high rate , enough to coo you off in very hot weather dont like the external speed control though

We purchased this fan to exhaust the smoke from our room when first starting up the wood stove. I know it is a pain, we love our wood stove, which is located in the basement and stays cool to cold in the winter. We set the fan in front of our open sliding door and in minutes the room is clear and the wood stove is heating up and smoke going up the chimney. The fan was also beneficial drying out the ceiling in the basement, when we had a leak in our up stairs bathroom. We turned the fan on high and it didn't take long and the ceiling was dry. We are extremely happy we bought this fan.

This all metal fan is really powerful and on high is a windstorm of air. We use it as a whole house fan I put it on a table about 3 feet from the window and it moves an enormous amount of air. This fan blows you hair back like the old ones used to do. It is also great fro drying my Golden Retrievers in the spring and summer when they decide to go swimming. I like the controls on the front of the fan that sits very sturdy on the floor without vibrating like the last cheap one I bought. The motor windings are very impressive with all copper not like the last fan I bought at the store. The real chrome finish is nice looking also.

This fan moves air like crazy! It is just one notch below an industrial duty fan. The protective cage around the fan is a little flimsier than I expected but it definitely has a large motor and it absolutely moves massive amounts of air throughout the house. Also, it's noisy as heck so you'll want to take that into consideration, but I don't subtract any stars for that because I fully expected it to be noisy since it moves so much air. All in all this unit delivers exactly what I was looking for in a fan ... massive movement of air throughout my house.

This fan is not 'Customer' friendly at all it is expensive and the controls are in the back andon the cord itself no less ! I returned it but I never got my refund :-( bummer !

Solid fan, moves lots of air. Would buy again. My only problem with it (though not enough to remove a star) is that I wish it had a lower setting. It's "low" setting is powerful enough that I don't like to consume that much power to leave it running all night.You don't need to put this fan in the window like a typical slim box fan. You just *aim* it at the window and it will blast air out, thus drawing it in any other windows in the house.

Credit these boys for making an excellent and reliable, large capacity fan capable of exhausting air from large spaces. Can be used to exhaust the whole house, keep the kitchen cool with all four burners going, dry a large floor area in minutes, or dry a large piece of furniture. The imagination is the limit. Very happy with the quality of construction. Note that the speed control can be screwed into the base so it doesn't dangle. Highly recommended.
