Good quality for the price
Exactly as advertised, quickly delivered, and well packaged. This is a small boombox but with a big sound. Purchased to put in my shop and will work nicely. Doesn’t seem to be too fragile. Time will tell.

Pretty decent for the price ...
What you have here is a nicely styled CD player, that has a built in headphone jack, stereo speakers,AM/FM radio and Bluetooth. Oh yes, and an Aux input for your other gadgets! The CD player is decent, the bluetooth works fairly nice, but it's not very loud, andthe display I found a bit problematic. Why you ask? It's because it's red characters on a black background, and would've been better had thedisplay been a white, green, or blue back-lit panel, instead of the LED used.In a well lit up room, the LED doesn't show up very well, unless you live in a dark areawithout much sunlight, and who wants to live like that? I found it difficult to see it where I had the unit set up.I think the main feature of this unit, and the best sound is produced by the CD player. It's quite decent, but everything else seems to sound less clear. If you buy into this expecting a little, you'll feel like you got a great deal, and for less than$50, this is remarkable quality for the money! I'm very happy I purchased it, as it helpedme to decide what I really needed/wanted for maximum utility. It's not a Hi Fi unit, like Kenwood or Panasonic, but it's not all that bad, either.PROs: CD player and auxiliary input were what I got this for, and the radio andbluetooth I considered "extra", and made this unit even more of a bargain, consideringI was upgrading from a $23 mini boombox that could only run on battery power - andthat only offered BT (by default), FM/AM stereo radio, and aux input. That device still serves me well for what it is, but I needed something to amplify myChromebook, which we use to stream radio programs and music. This boombox has the option to use "C" batteries in case your power goes out.I hadn't bought any batteries, so I didn't get to test this ability.Pretty rare to find a boombox like that nowadays, unless you hunt on eBay or spendextra on a more sophisticated unit here on Amazon. The Aux, and bluetooth are very nice to have, but could've been louder. That's not really a "con", either, as this was modestly powered, and that's fine.Cons: Already mentioned the display. The AM/FM radio - well, what can I say about that? It's analog, not digital - and uses an un-lit dial to indicate what station you're tuning in,with no real way to see the "dial" from a distance. You basically have to guess what stationyou're tuning in, unless you're standing right near the unit looking from the top down. While I do like analog tuning to a degree, this isn't your average Emerson or Panasonictabletop stereo, or even mono radio, either. It works somewhat, but it's real tricky to tunein - just like the old transistor radios of long ago. Wasn't real happy with the radio tuner.I didn't buy it for the radio, I bought it as a smallish amplifier, and it did that job fairly well. The sound isn't super great on everything, but it's good enough.I only docked 1 star for the not-so-great display, and the radio portion. It's still great if all you do is play CDs, use bluetooth, plug in your mp3 player, orfor amplifying music or other gear. It's fairly easy to use. It feels sturdy. This boombox isn't super loud, but if you want that, you'd buy a stereo receiver or a hometheater setup instead, right? It's pretty good for the price and a decent gift for someone'sfirst portable radio/CD combo unit. I liked it, but I wanted a bit more from this once I hada chance to play with it's many features.I still find myself liking this, despite the nit-picking, as it's really decent unit for what little money you spent. I'd recommend this to someone getting their first boombox, but I miss tapes. This does fit the bill, but we don't have great reception here, so I use other means toplay local stations, and leave the radio to the internet, and my Chromebook. It's good for the price, and works decently as long as I still have it. :)I hope this helped your buying decision either way. Thanks for reading ! :)

Very impressed, great sound and easy to use!
I purchased the Singing Wood CD player about a month ago and have been very impressed with it! I bought this to replace the CD player that I got for my 13th birthday back in the early 90's! Haha! As with most people nowadays, I listen to a lot of my music online, but I also enjoy listening to my CD's or the radio. I think there is something special about the tangibility of putting a CD on and listening to the whole thing. The act of physically holding the album in your hand and placing it in the player, maybe even flipping through the liner notes, lyrics, and album art... I think that is an experience that is missing these day. But enough of my Gen-X reminiscing... This CD player has a lot of great modern features, great sound quality, and is very easy to use! Besides just playing CD's, it can also stream music wirelessly from your phone though bluetooth, or be connected to an iPod through the auxiliary cable, and gets good radio reception. The sound is rich and full whatever medium you are using. And it coincidently happens to fit perfectly on top of a gallon size can of paint... which is convenient when I am listening to it in my garage! Haha! I would definitely recommend this product for it's ease of use and sound quality, even if you are just using it as a bluetooth speaker!

Sound is great, but it skips badly
The boombox started out working fine. The sound was great, and there were no problems. Now, some weeks later, it has started skipping badly. It doesn't just miss a note here and there; it skips over large sections of the cd. I know my cds are good, because they work fine on other players. I am disappointed. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews, instead of just the positive ones.
