Buy Jordan's first edition, published in 2003 (it's on Amazon: yellow and green cover). The 2003 book and Jordan's supplements saved my life when I couldn't recover from a difficult appendectomy. I was sick for 8 months, unable to eat almost any food, until I found his 2003 book. I loved that book; so I ordered the new version, 2018, thinking that it would be even better. IF YOU'RE SICK, GET THE 2003 BOOK. I was stunned to see that the new version ditched the index, the recipes, and the wonderful appendixes listing resources for his suggested supplements, and much much more. I couldn't believe that all of that was missing in this new 2018 version. I'm going to return it. If you're sick, the 2003 book could save your life as it did mine. ### ⭐⭐ Sales Pitch *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2016* Before you buy this book, be aware that at least half of it is comprised of promotional writings, testimonies, etc. endorsing products Mr. Rubin's company produces for purchase, the ones which he credits with his own healing. Everything from the soil extracts to the special drinks to the food addiditves -- all are trademarked items, available for purchase. So half of the book feels like a sales pitch (and it's not exactly a clean half, since this runs through the entire book). If this bothers you, I would not recommend the book. The other half -- the parts where there is NO sales pitch -- has some good advice, especially for anyone suffering from IBS or a condition like that. But most of it is the same information you will find from any advocate of natural foods, like Dr. Andrew Weil, the Livestrong website or places like that. So I guess I would say that if you are interested in participating in the same regimen Mr. Rubin did, you are in the right place. If you are looking for changes you can make in your own diet to feel better from what you can purchase in the store or make at home, there are probably better books out there for you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Started the recommended diet and in 7 months there was no more ... *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2016* Read this book in December 2004, 30 years into ulcerative colitis. Started the recommended diet and in 7 months there was no more signs of the disease. Have stayed on the diet since and living a fairly healthy life.
