Works well, after some tweaking
Board is easy to install. The hold-down screw is a bit tight, but not too bad. I did a full backup before installing with Carbon Copy Cloner, and then CCC’d back to the new SSD using Firewire Target mode. The machine booted right up after that.Everything seemed to be working fine, but the next day, after the machine had been asleep all night, it wouldn’t wake up, and required a hard shutdown and restart. This happened again the next day.I asked the seller about this, and they said to change the power management settings with:sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 standby 0 autopoweroff 0This seems to have fixed the issue, and the machine has worked fine for the last week or so.Note that this setting turns off “Hibernation,” so if the battery completely runs out during sleep, the contents of RAM are lost. Not a big deal for me, but important to know.
