Golden Trout Wilderness Trail Map: Shaded-Relief Topo Map (Tom Harrison Maps) Map – May 1, 2015

This map is an amazing map and well worth the price. Great detail, easy to read.

The Tom Harrison maps each cover a lot of area and are perfect for planning your backcountry trips. Because of the large areas they cover the detail isn't very close-up so definitely not good for backcountry route finding if doing anything above class 1. If needing a map to navigate by when going cross country then get a USGS map which won't cover as much area but has much better detail. They do work well in conjuction with my gps if I stay on trail though which reduces the # of maps I have to take with me and less is always a good thing when it comes to my backpack weight. They are also waterproof which is pretty much a necessity in my opinion. Very happy with this purchase for what I use it for...trip planning.

Tom Harrison maps are great resources. They are focused toward hikers and have more pertinent information on them than any other map I have used. They are waterproof and tear resistant. They are well worth the price.

If you have any questions about trail locations as far as if they are in inyo county or sequia national forest this map will make it very clear. It showed every trail in the gtw. Good luck on your next adventure

I now have multiple Tom Harrison maps. There just isn't a better topo map that I have seen. The are made of what appears to be a plastic impregnated paper, they take a beating. The elevations, distances, water sources and terrain are well denoted. The map includes at lot of in information such as trail qualities, ranger stations, phone numbers etc. I won't own any other map for California trails.

If you are looking for the Cottonwood lakes, they are ON this map, but not completely. I would reccomend getting a Mount Whitney Zone map.

Great map. Of all the maps of this area, Tim Harrison is definitely the best and they hold up really well.
