The item I received came in a tiny box that read "Beauty Cinch-Up!" (and said "As Seen on TV), although I don't remember the item description ever stating this brand or any brand name for the cinch mat. The pictures on the website listing as well as on the "Beauty Cinch-Up!" box did not match the actual product, and the pictures are misleading about the true product's material. I also noticed there was a place on the front of the box that looked like there once was a sticker there, but someone took it off. The box was not sealed (even with tape) or anything either- it was extremely easy to open the cardboard little box, revealing a plastic bag with a small white Amazon sticker indicating item name and with a barcode. I personally feel like this product was made by a different manufacturer and then placed into this item's box to make it seem "nicer" or better packaging.Despite this obvious ploy, I wanted to see what was actually inside the Amazon plastic bag and see if it was worth keeping. It was noticeably extremely light, and after opening it fully, I can see why- It is made of material that is very similar to (or the same as) sport-type drawstring backpacks. If you are familiar with these extremely common drawstring backpacks/bags, then you know how thin the material is that it is made from. This is exactly what the cosmetic mat bag felt like.I noticed some loose threads hanging in certain places, so I am not sure how long it will last for, but I tried to use the cinch feature with the drawstring and it surprisingly worked to fully close the bag (no open space/hole was left at the top like some others). I think for the price, it is worth trying as a much cheaper affordable version of the popular name-brand item this bag is modeled after. I also was surprised that the size measurements were actually accurate- it truly does measure about 19 inches wide, and is a few inches more than that when measuring from top to bottom. It also has a zipper as promised in the description, and it is quite deep. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this works with all my makeup and how durable it is, given its low price.

I love this bag! It is so convenient and practical. It is large enough to store all of my daily makeup which includes an Anastasia contour kit, a small eyeshadow palette of 4 shades, a handheld mirror that is about 5 sq inches, 3 tubes of lipsticks/gloss, a tube of cream foundation, a few eyeliners, mascara wand, and a compact highlighter to give you an idea of the amount of items. The bag has a very long pull string that can be tucked inside the bag so it doesn't get caught on anything. I like that the material is stain resistant so it makes for easy clean-up. Also, this bag seems to be pretty durable so far, so I don't think it will tear from constant use.The product details suggest that it can fit inside your purse, however, it is a bit too large and bulky to do so and I carry around a huge bag! You would have to squeeze it into a round shape bag, which are not a very common shape. It will fit inside a carry-on or backpack made for light travel.This bag is perfect if you have to do your makeup somewhere outside the comfort of your home and don't want to spread out all your makeup on an unknown dirty counter top in a public bathroom/ hotel bathroom, or don't want to stain the material on a car seat.I love it, and it would make for a great gift for anyone!

Perfect for all travel size cosmetics

I haven't yet actually used it, but first impression is that it will solve issues with makeup organization and keeping in place especially in tight quarters as often occurs while traveling. I was concerned about how well it would gather being hexagon shape versus circular, but it appears to easily gather to a closed position. Some reviews on this type of bag was that there was open space at top after gathering. If that does occur, a piece of felt would remedy anything falling out and still not be added weight, yet flexible to shape. It does lie flat, but by not releasing gathering would provide a slight edge to keep any thing from falling out while using. I think it will eliminate several small bags to reduce the frustration of finding and keeping makeup essentials together. Depending what is put into the bag, it can easily be flattened for easier packing. Fabric appears to be easily cleaned should there be any makeup spillage of powder, liquid, etc.

This was one of those items where I didn't know if I was going to like it or not, and I ended up loving it. I still use it at home and it helps keep the bathroom counter clear of clutter. However, I think it is far too large to put in a purse. It would have to be a BIG oversized bag and even then that is about the only thing that would fit. I do not wear much make up and I wasn't able to put it in my large bag. When I use my big bag can carry my e-reader or kindle and a bottle of water plus my other items such as a wallet, small brush and sunscreen, typical things we women carry.When traveling, I know exactly where all my makeup is and I can put my makeup on while sitting on the bed without having to worry about getting it on the hotel's duvet.

The bag is convenient but drawstring is hard to pull shut and feel tight. Holds a good amount of makeup though.

This bag does what it’s supposed to do... I got this because I share a bathroom with 5 people and don’t want to leave my makeup out, but am always running out the door with no time to clean it up. This makes it easy to clean up. It does annoy me that the long string is always getting caught on my cabinet/drawer pulls. HOWEVER, the ONE reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because it STAINS, which I never expected in a million years. I’ve had mine laying on a counter top for a week while I’ve been HOUSESITTING and I pulled it up to find a large black stain on their WHITE countertop. I was so panicked. Luckily after soaking the countertop with scrubbing bubbles, it’s MOSTLY unnoticeable, but definitely still there.
