My Hamster (My Pet Series)

This book covers everything you want to know about hamsters, the different types, habits, how to care for them, behavioral signs, preferred foods, and the entire lifeline from birth to death. The author really loves hamsters and it comes through in the text.

I have been keeping and breeding hamsters for 33 years and this is the best book I know of about hamsters. The author is a doctor of Zoology and not only has researched and studied hamsters in the wild but also keeps them as pets. Even though he is a scientist, his love and enthusiasm for keeping these mammals as pets is both amusing and amazing. I recommend this book to all hamster owners.Also the excellent photographs and illustrations make this book even more of a pleasure to read.A must own fingertip reference as well.

Just a really informative book on hamsters and their care. I checked it out of the library first and then bought a copy because it's so good. My child loves to read it and is happy to know about all the things their hamster can and can't eat :)

This book has some info in it. but I notice there is a lot of info not correct in it. You dont give a hamster tap water, it is really hard on them and will shorten there life span, with all the chlorine in tap water. I notice there was info on just using hot water to wash the hamsters cage out, that is not really correct. Need a very mild dish soap like Joy and hot water. There are more things that are wrong and some right info. Dont believe all guide lines. I have yet to find a good book on hamsters, the vet I use knows a lot on the little fur balls!

The best book for hamster care out there!

Good book, great fun for my grand-daughter

I have a few hamster books and this one is the best of them all. It has really good information, by someone that is specially trained in this area. A lot of pet care books are written by people with no credentials behind them. So it is helpful to have credible information for the optimal health of our pets.

Every hamster owner should have this book.
