5 stars for the story, but not so much for the noticeable wear and tear on the book itself.
To start with, I've bought a few KH novels at this point and they've all had cosmetic wear and tear. It upsets me because I spend money on these and these books sometimes arrive with some noticeable wear and tear. That's my honest feedback, amazon, so if you don't post this review then that's ludicrous. My complaint fits the criteria for "honest feedback", as I am, need I remind you, an actual customer who bought the book.Other than that, in regards to the actual book. It's nearly identical to the game, so unless you have interest in reading one long recap of the story, you probably wont find anything here to enjoy unless you're a big BBS fan, which I happen to be.

Pretty Good Retelling!
Solidly would recommend for someone who likes the series, but maybe can't play the various games for console or time reasons. It gives a pretty comprehensive and bare-bones retelling of the games itself, which is both a high and a low-point for me, as I would have liked to see a little more of the story explored- but I knew that it probably wasn't going to be possible- but it still gave me a pretty good run-down of the story-points I've seen from the cut-scenes.Pros: Good Retelling, told in a way that keeps things relatively cohesive, cheaper than hunting the games down and buying a console if you don't already have it.Cons: Feels a bit copy-paste in some parts, unfortunately I'm Norted now.

Worth it for Vanitas
Book came in good condition. The novel pretty much follows the game until the last 1/4 or so when there is more focus on Vanitas. It really makes you feel for him.Other than that, consuming the story through the novel allows you to understand it and the overall story more. Since you're reading the story at your own pace, you get to notice themes/parallels/characterisation that you probably wouldn't if you simply watched all the cut scenes.

A Good Read
So far from what I have read, the story is pretty good and is very detailed. Some of the pages have images of the characters. The words are printed clearly. The book is divided by chapters and not by the characters. The book is great for those who loves reading and also are fans of the game.

A fun and entertaining read
I played the game and it was fun, so reading it brought back memories. Its accurate and follows the games with Terra, Ventus, and Aqua the same for the most part. And it includes additional scenes that I wasn't aware of including the scenes with Aqua and Terra in Kingdom Hearts 2, and Birth by Sleep.

Came a day early
Birth by Sleep is my favorite Kingdom Hearts game, I've beaten it multiple times so I know that I'm going to enjoy this book! It even came a day earlier than expected!

Good book for my Kingdom Hearts fan
My daughter loves it. She’s a big fan of the video game so it makes sense.

Great Book!
I got this book to add to my collection of Kingdom Hearts novels, and also because I haven't actually played this game, so was interested to expand my knowledge of the story. This book is a sort of prequel, set ten years before the 1st Kingdom Hearts novel, but also has Sora, Riku and Kairi featuring in the book itself, as well as Mickey, Donald and Goofy. It contains colour pictures at both the front and the back of the book, but unlike the other light novels, doesn't have black and white pictures spaced between the chapters - but that's fine, because I like the artwork that Shiro Amano has done in all of the Light Novels, he's really good at capturing the characters personalities in his drawing. So, the verdict is, if you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts, or if you like Disney characters, or you just generally want to try something a bit different, then these are the books for you! I would thoroughly recommend them!

Loved it!
Better than the other kh novels, in my opinion. It adds to the established story while giving the characters more depth. One of the series least favourite characters, Terra, benefits from this as you can see his inner thoughts and how Eraqus affected him, showing that he's not as dumb as people say.Aqua's inner conflict is more shown here, choosing between her duty and her friends, fleshing her out more. Ventus is pretty much the same, an adorable young boy who has had terribled things happened to him. In a way, the novel shows more of the conflict he goes through than the game does. It shows the pain he goes through, mental and physical, and his questionning of his existence.Theres a nice extended scene of after Ven arrives at the Land Of Depature, something that was left out of the game. Vanitas gets more development as well, but I don't know how cannon this is to the games. With the other characters, it just expanded on what we already knew but with Vanitas, it's like the authors idea of the character rather than the one in the games. The novel was translated from Japanese so some sentences can be quite basic but that's fine compared to the character building we get.One thing I'm sad about is there are no lovely illustrtions by Shiro Amano bar the two at the back compared to the other novels that had at least seven.

Stra consigliato!
