I'm keeping a freshwater aquarium, and need to get my water change water at around 7.0 pH. Using a chemical test kit is fine, but takes some time, is a little messy, and has consumables - the drops. Using a meter makes sense as long as the price is right, and this is. And once an aquarium is cycled properly and you are just doing water changes, mostly all you ever need is to set the pH for the water. This meter works great, is accurate (checked it against a calibration solution), and is just what you need for this sort of application.

Works, probably accurate

Purchased because too many times we sliced open raw meat. Now they all turn out perfect every time. Very easy to use and read.

This PH test pen was a huge disappointment. It was extremely inaccurate right out of the box. I calibrated it according to the instructions, following the instruction verbatim, but still fluctuates by over 1.5ph. This morning I checked a 250ml sample of pure distilled water and received a ph of 6.83, then twenty minutes late the exact same sample (at the same temperature) yielded a reading of 7.48. This cannot be correct so I attempted again with tap water and again got a two completely different readings with very limited variables from the same sample. Very disappointing and already purchased a much more expensive unit. I will be returning the Item and avoiding this manufacturer in the future.

The meter was easy to set up and has yet to give me a problem when measuring the pH of the water I use.

I purchased this to test our well water from the tap, and after we use Pur, and also to test the bottled spring water. I was disturbed of the findings of the well water after being run thru Pur. And happy to find that the bottled spring water was indeed very drinkable.
