The CD came in excellent condition and even though I hadn't heard half the songs before, I love every single one of them!

Awesome album with great future potential
So I got into this band after I found out the singer was the brother of the bassist in Three Days Grace. Fans of which will probably enjoy this album. At first I was a but sceptical, thinking the tunes were a bit generic but the more I listen to it the better it gets! The best songs on the album are definately 'Save Me' 'Set It On Fire' and 'Move Your Body'.This band are new and experienced listeners of rock can tell as much but they have great potential. Definitely glad I found these guys and have been playing them non-stop since. Worth buying!

Possibly the worst rock album I have heard this year...
Firstly let me start by saying that I listen to an awful lot of rock music, my attraction was drawn to "My Darkest Days" because Chad Kroeger (of Nickelback fame) discovered them and signed them to his production company, 604 records. Now, previously Chad had discovered and signed "Theory Of A Deadman" and "Default," both whose music I like very much and they regularly do the rounds on my iPod.With that out the way then, I had high hopes for "My Darkest Days," but I was very disappointed.Firstly, the positives. Lead vocalist "Matt Walst" is a decent singer with a proper "rock voice," the musicianship within the band is clearly tight, there's enough power chords and melodic choruses to make what should be, very good music. That however is quickly were the positives end. The songs lack imagination, the melody is predictable and the electronic sounds that can be heard on virtually every track is awkward.Lead single "Porn Star Dancing" is a classic example, is this a rock song, a pop song or just a demo gone badly wrong? What's the idea of having American rapper "Ludacris" on the alternate version? Rappers have no place in modern rock music! It doesn't get much better the further on you get, "My Darkest Days" just haven't figured out exactly what type of band they are supposed to be. When they do, they certainly have real potential, a shame therefore this record doesn't show any.It doesn't deserve a place on my iPod, in fact I must quickly finish this review in order to go and remove it.Be warned, if you decide to check this record out then may I suggest you listen to tracks first by visiting the bands MySpace page. Otherwise you might as well drop a tenner in the nearest charity tin, at least then you've done some good.
