Carpet Sweeper

This is a solid unit that assembled logically - I say that because the written instructions were very minimal and I found them confusing. Just lay out the pieces and figure it out. Button connectors at top and bottom only. Slip joints for the rest of the stick handle. Was careful to do strong taps on concrete when putting together those handle slip joints. Included is a clean-out tool that you can snap on the stick near the handgrip top. The handle feels very sturdy. Am wondering if people having problems with it aren't assembling the slip joints more firmly. Am grateful for the other reviewers' reports, btw, because it led me to be meticulous in assembling the handle myself.Am very pleased to have a new tool, made in the USA, of very solid, old fashioned construction. The brushes are firm on a large wood roller. The housing is sturdy. The side clean out is also a really good design, it isn't too wide to easily empty over a waste basket and it avoids the brushes (have had one before that emptied out the bottom). This is a great design and the seller was right to keep it in circulation (read his information, he bought the molds when a large company cancelled the line). We use it on carpet, haven't expected it to work on floor due to roller height. It is advertised as a carpet sweeper, so don't expect it to do your floor fantastically well, but it actually does pick up a fair amount. We have pets, it deals well with animal hair on carpet. It's lightweight, easy to carry up and down stairs. This is a great tool.Made in USA! Should last a lifetime, truly. I am SO TIRED of throwing out cheaply made things that cannot be fixed. I'm *done* with essentially disposable appliances. Have started to buy vintage tools in order to get well made items, so am delighted to get this old fashioned quality brand new. Feel really good about this purchase. Update: 2020 and it's still working strong.

Awful , terrible product , did not pick up dog hair just moved it about , I do not recommend this product !

for quick clean up of carpet and floors this is wonderful like the old Dirt devil but awkward on carpeted stairs

Use the sweeper for the first time today. Worked great on my persain rug and wood floors. Picked up everything well. Did a better job then my Miele Vacuum which I purchased for over $200. But the only slight malfunction on this product is the handles. There's four metal peices that snaps on. Only the very top and botton peices has that metal button that snaps in place. The other two peices that goes in the center does not so when you sweep back & forth it comes out. Which is quite stupid in why they made it this way... Since it picks up hair and dust well I decided it was just a minor problem and used duck tape to fasten the handles in place. No biggie. For the price...who's to argue. IT WORKS!!! Otherwise it would have received 5 stars. This product is a no brainer. A 3 yr old can use this device.

Carpet SweeperThis product doesn't work on floors or carpet. Does not pick up. Would like to return and get another Bissell floor and rug cleaner

this carpet sweeper is great for quick pickups.it is ideal for your kitchen,bedroom,and low pile carpet like rugs.it picks up very good and cant clean the high pile carpets.it is still a very good sweeper.it is made in the USA.you should buy it

made very poorly and hard to use probably because I have arthritis and very severe spinal stenosis. I should buy things like this in person.

I bought the sweeper to pick up cat litter tracked onto the carpet. It does this quickly and without having to be plugged into an outlet at any time. It empties easily. As an added plus, it is made in the U.S.A. of U.S.A. manufactured parts. I'd buy it again.
