The brush is supposed to be good for people with gum issues but this brush is medium to hard I think. It is way harder than my normal 'soft' brushes from my dentist. Plus, it is a large size for me, to large for me to even use. If I place it on the outside of my lower teeth it leaves no room for me to actually make a brushing motion.Possibly I ordered the item in haste and should have made sure it said "soft" and size as "compact".But this specific item I recommend against ordering if you need a soft and or small brush.

I have used this brush for for over a month now and have been quite impressed, You would think it was harsh or stiff to look at it, but it is very gentle, and unlike other bristle brushes, shows no evidence of wear or frizzling after many uses. It cleans all areas of teeth and gums thoroughly, and rinses completely so looks like new after use.

When this toothbrush first came in the mail, I thought "no way am I going to like this!". But believe it or not, its GREAT! I can't believe how well it works and I can't even tell you why because I don't understand it myself. Maybe it's the bristles, IDK! Anyway, it's a fantastic toothbrush.

Very nice toothbrush. The bristles are definitely softer than a regular toothbrush. I wish it came in a smaller size since I have such a small mouth. But overall, this is a very high quality brush and I have enjoyed using it so far.

The best toothbrush I have ever used. No gimmicks, just a toothbrush.

My dentist says I have a small mouth...yet this toothbrush, big as it is, not only fits but does an excellent job of cleaning. I think the bristles must be different.
