Thanks!** A: Yes it is septic safe. Had to have our septic tank pumped out, & the man who did it said to use this toilet tissue and he promised no problems or we wouldn’t have to pay. He said he wouldn’t use anything else. So far so good. **Q: Is this the same as Scott 1000, or Scott 1100 toilet paper?** A: This is not identical to the popular Scott 1000 tissue. I weighed each on a scale. This product weighs approximately 4 ounces and the Scott 1000 approximately 5 oz. So you get about 25 percent more with the Scott 1000. Even so this Scott Professional is a quality product and a good price. I will purchase it again. **Q: IS this one ply to two ply** A: It is two ply. The end of the roll is glued down. You need to be careful separating the end of the roll before unrolling or the plies will separate and you will end up with one ply. I am using this and it works fine. The softness can be determined by the number of sheets in a roll. In comparison, Charmin has less sheets in a roll, and is softer, but will last only half as long and costs twice as much. If cost is no object you can indulge yourself and buy Charmin.
