As usual, here we are blessed with practical descriptions of what we may experience while working with patients and clients and bring an understanding of what the heck is going on when a strong pulsing in our hands occurs, etc. The depth of the research of original documents and reported interactions with some of the original Reiki masters allows a look into the intentions of the founders of the practice of Reiki along with the social conditions that existed in Japan at the time that may have influenced the structure of the development of Reiki practices.Amazing.

This is a wonderful and useful book that every Reiki practitioner should read and own. I am so grateful that it was published in English and use it often, I highly recommend it.

This book is a must for anyone who wants to learn about Reiki. I practice and teach and this book is filled with practical wisdom and interesting history as well. A must.

As a Reiki Master in the western sense of the term, I found the original teachings quite helpful. It brings a more serious tone to the rather woo-woo idea of Reiki that westerners have. When you begin to look at it from this medical standpoint, it begins to take on new light and as you talk to your clients about it, they begin to understand how everything ties into the chakras and the subtle energies of the human body. I'm grateful to have found this as well as Frank Petter's other Reiki books.

While many different books already contain translations of Hayashi's Ryoho Shishin (treatment methods guidebook), this is a great resource that goes above and beyond the others. Co-written by two wonderful authors and teachers, Frank Arjava Petter and Yamaguchi Tadao, this manual contains much historical information and historic photos of Hayashi-sensei and other teachers in his lineage.Yamaguchi-san's family has practiced Reiki in Japan since learning it directly from Hayashi himself, and much insight is given on the historical development of Reiki within Japan. There are copies of original documents in Hayashi's handwriting, and a complete translation of his manual.Unlike other translations of Hayashi's Ryoho shishin, this edition contains full-colour photographs to illustrate all of the hand positions and Reiki techniques such as ketsueki kokan ho (blood exchange method; a means of improving circulation both on an energetic and physical level) and a technique for reviving unconscious clients.This is a richly illustrated text that each Reiki practitioner will value for the number of reccomended treatments for dozens of ailments. It is a quick and to-the-point guidebook that really works.

The product came in good shape. Love the content. I’m a new reiki practitioner and was looking into medical reiki. This book has good pictures on the hand placements. i can’t wait to study and try the techniques. It looks like the book I’m looking for.

Master Petter has done it again. Given us a succinct manual that touches on history, techniques and a plethora of important detailed photographs to aid us in our practice.I recommend this book along with his Usui Manual, The Spirit of Reiki, The Japanese Art of Reiki and Quantum Touch as the most important books any Reiki Practitioner/Master Teachers should have.(I mention the Quantum Touch as it adds an added connection that really gives a boosted connection to Reiki healing)I am a new Reiki Master/T myself however I realise this is a continuous journey of BEing Reiki.Bless yourself by adding this to your ReiKi Library.Sister Swan, RMT

This book is one of the 3 I recommend as reading material when I teach Reiki. My Reiki lineage is short (6), but even I now chinese whispers can distort what is being taught. Hayashi taught Takata. Things, we know, were altered for the Western market. So this is going back to source. It is in my library. I have read it, I use the information and I pass it on.This is a book to have for reference if you use Reiki or teach it. I highly recommend it

An excellent book by Frank Arjava Petter based on training and information he received in Japan in the use of Dr. hayasi's methods. original Japanese Reiki for everyone.

This is a really inspiring book, for anyone interested in Reiki, at whatever level, there is something to learn for eveyone, and a superb reference book.

Hablan de la historia del Reiki en un cuarto del libro, dando a entender que su reiki es mejor que el de los demás y al final del ibro explican un par de técnicas muy básicas (Byosen y circulación de la sangre) que en cualquier curso de Reiki puedes aprender.

Frank Arjava Petter es un excelente Maestro Reiki, busqué el libro en español pero solo en inglés pude encontrarlo, ojalá y hubiera la edición en español para adquirirla tambien.

An interesting approach to the subject. It gives explanations and insights not covered in other books about the subject. A worthwhile purchase.
