Wasteland: The Children of D’Hars
Chilling & Machiavellian in its entirety. This book challenges the imagination to comprehend the things that occur. You sometimes feel like you need to stop for a moment so you can understand the events taking place. Not for the faint hearted but the imagination of this author & his ability to explain to others what is happening is mind bending. It is never boring. You know something else is coming up shortly.

What are you doing Terry??
Let's face it, Terry Goodkind is a genius and all of us Sword of Truth fans LOVE his work and will remain loyal to him until the end. Even though the story of Richard and Kahlan's special child/children has been teased to us since Book 2 Stone of Tears with Shota's dark prophecy, and Goodkind has dragged us on endlessly through high and lows, epic moments and terrible decisions (such as an entire second arc about zombies which could've really been skipped) we fans have remained loyal. I myself will always stay loyal, even though I know his work hasn't been these days what it once was, especially not the ultimate peak he reached with Faith of the Fallen (although the Nicci series is pretty brilliant). Having said all this: what is he doing with these Children of D'Hara books? The story is great; its exciting; we all want more... but come on: this is an money grab to split this up in so many multiple pieces when each "novella" is about as long as the good-quality chapters Terry Goodkind used to write in the olden days. By the time this 5-part-mini-series is over, it'll feel like a fourth of one of his past novels from the 90s that were over 1000 pages long. Seriously Terry, I'll always love you and your work, but you don't need to string your fans on like this. Also, on another note: make your books about politics again. It was brilliant when we were in Anderith and Altur'Rang, it was brilliant in the Angela Constantine book. With what is going on in Europe and America right now with immigration, invasion, and demographic replacement, as the Imperial Order and half-people are trying to sweep in and breed D'Harans out of existence, there is a whole treasure trove of things you could be writing about to WAKE UP individuals rather then only writing about a bunch of "Gleeees" and a pervert living below the People's Palace. You are one of the greatest and most awakened writers of our time - readers need you Terry. Make the Sword of Truth books Great Again.

THE TERROR IS EVERYWHERE!
The Golden Goddess has promised to destroy Richard and Kahlan to ensure that magic will disappear from the world. But the revelation that Kahlan is pregnant, with twins - a boy AND a girl - who's birth will help grow magic back to a force through out the world, while joyous news is also a complication that may end everything. To prevent that outcome, the two must flee to the Wizard's Keep where they will be safe from her attacks and those of the Glee who serve her. But, as Richard and Kahlan, along with their friends and protectors prepare to leave the truly unexpected happens and may only speed the destruction of the world.Terry Goodkind, in this, the 3rd novella in the CHILDREN OF D'HARA series, once again uses his incredible to spin and craft tales rich in the people that move through them and the terrors that they face. After 20 books and 2 the prior two novellas in this series, some writers may begin to grow stale in their created worlds but Goodkind continues to raise the bar and take his stories to new heights. As stated earlier, this is book 3 in a 5 book series. It is not intended as a stand aolone story and should be read in after consumming the first two in the series.

Witch men?
Another twist in the complicated lives of Khalan and Richard… will it never end? They deserve a little peace and quiet.

Wasted
A real cliffhanger in this book. Going to find if there's another book with the next section. It's not gonna be a happy ending if the next book wasn't written.

Magic and peril are back
What fans of the Sword of Truth series know and love has returned! This installment of The Children of D’Hara has it all – action, magic, mystery, and peril. Whereas, episode 2 spun its wheels without doing much to advance the plot, episode 3 takes us further into the People’s Palace and the magic used to create it. When a mystery man was discovered deep in the wasteland of the palace, many other events begin to make sense and an anticipation for how the story will end blossoms. Though the suspense at the end of each chapter grows tiresome and is unnecessary, the addition of a few new characters is welcome. All-in-all, I am very happy with how the story is progressing and the possibilities of where it will go.

Not the best one but still good
Am enjoying reading these little novellas, and to be back in the world of Richard and Kahlan is a real joy. With this being the 3rd book I must admit this one was my least favourite so far...whilst I understand the meaning of title now I do feel this book lost alot of momentum and really struggled to get going at all. It was a bit of hard read but has not put me off looking forward to the next one.
