I'm slowly but surely trying to cut down my waste with more sustainable options so I bought these as one step in the right direction... They are essentially neatly stitched pieces of cotton cloth that can be washed in the handy little bag provided (so as not to lose them) & save throwing out mountains worth of cotton pads & wet wipes that would otherwise be accumulated. The texture of course is a little different but that's a small price to pay & something I'm sure I'll get used to over time. These are a really good size (I'd say about 1.5-2x bigger than your average cotton pad) & can be used on both sides so the pack provides plenty to last. And another advantage is the lovely smug warm glow I get from being so environmentally friendly!

Trialled this with a night out where I wore some heavy makeup - followed the instructions (phrasing is a bit weird, don't think they are English manufacturers, which is made up for it in the price) - felt really nice on my sensitive skin and removed all make up including eye.. there was some foundation residue which was barely noticeable and so would continue to use that pad for removal. However, using it for daily use as a toner (which was its intended use) has been excellent and fits my purpose.

I wear heavy makeup and use Clinique ‘Take The Day Off’ and it can leave a mess on my sink and towel. I used this dry with a bit of the balm and it took it all off! It was so soft and didn’t irritate my skin, which is very sensitive. It didn’t remove my waterproof mascara entirely but did 90% of the job. Very impressed.

So far so good and feel much better that I’m not using so much cotton wool
