Great product upgrade
I shop at goodwill at least once a week, I found my first 3 cell mag-lite and purchased it.I got on the amazon web site and looked up LED upgrade for this old mag-lite, this LITT upgrade kit was what i needed it came with a replacement lens to replace the old scratched up lens, it was good as new and much brighter light. So when I found an old 2 cell mag-lite I upgraded it with a kit for the 2 cell flash light.I am very pleased with the results these kits provided.

Made my mag lite better, not super better.
Bright but dark spot at center of where the flashlight is shined, about inner 15% of light beam.

Very disapointed
I was so excited to be able to upgrade my heavy old maglite the bulb came in and installation was a breeze. I put fresh D batteries and click there was light until about 2 mins then dead. After trouble shooting by switching out the led bulb back to the old one only think could be ruled out that the bulb was no good.

It's brighter, but has flaws.
Nice light update for your mag light, but. Install was easy, the light is definitely brighter, but it flickers a little when you tighten or widen the light. Plus, for the price, just buy a new version of the mag light for a few bucks more, this way there is no problems. That's what i did.

i ordered for a maglite i rebuilt, the led is a big improvement! nice and bright, the Lens was installed on my light in the truck ,very nice. deliverywas on time and in great shape

Inherent bulb/reflector mismatch >No ability to really focus LED beam>NO GAIN FUNCTIONALLY for $$$
BRIGHTNESS of a bulb is only half of the story. WHERE the light source is relative to the parabolic reflector after reassembly means everything about correctly THROWING the beam. This LED appears brighter to my eye, but poor positioning by design of the LED in the parabolic reflector after reassembly nullifies the brightness. Effectively, the LED bulb only throws a bright RING with a dull center, and that beam CANNOT BE FOCUSED. I am very sorry I purchased TWO of these expensive units for my 4 cell MagLights. I will be ordering two new, cheaper, INCANDESCENT BULBS which can be properly focused.

Does not work with my old MagLite
The seller sent me another LED bulb after I contacted him regarding the received LED bulb did not light up in my old MagLite. My MagLite is 2-D size batteries with each battery at 1.5V. I tried both rechargeable and new alkaline batteries and neither of the two LEDs light up. My old bulb did light up with the two types of batteries. I verified that the LED bulbs fit correctly and were securely screwed down into position. These LED bulbs may not work with all old MagLite flashlights. Today I am returning the LED bulbs to the seller and requested a refund.

Made my flashlight so much better.
The light I now have is amazing! Delivery took a long time but that was fault of postal service. Very happy with product.
